I don't know if this was mentioned, and I don't want to read the whole thread right now, but I will just throw this out there. Go look at Sounddomain. Some of the "senior" members are really pumping AA up. I would imagine they are nice subs, but these guys have told everybody to buy AA. Which is fine I guess. I haven't owned any SS products, but I wouldn't hesitate. Maybe I will want or need something eventually <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nevermind the last post, this is one of my bandwagons, I've never used there subs and I never intend to. I didnt read every post here because Im lazy but ill give my opinion on bandwagons, so through the eyes of James. I shoot from the hip, if I dont like it im going to tell you. If im skeptical you will know, I give credit where it is deserved and im never quick to jump the gun. Everything must stand the test of time to me. I will never call out bandwagon stuff because im never looking to offend anyone. Ill read everything tomorrow, possibly add another not so critical evaluation of things.

I got a kicer 700.5, 890 on he birth sheet and I think im going too keep the amp for a little while. My goal this set up was to down size power, while still retaining a lot of sub potential. Too bad I already sold my Big Belle.

Yeah I ordered a 15 and got it Thursday, and installed it the same day of course. Im liking it more and more as I play with it. I can see good things coming out of this woofer.

I only have around 500 watts and the last time I was asking this question I was getting answers of 2-2.2 for sealed, even Mike said the same exact thing. As for large sealeds not sounding as good, I know, I just didnt feel I had the power for a small enclosure. Should have done more research, which is evident because I had no idea they're a metal cone woofer either, haha oh well... Woofer is working great so far, its got about 2 more hours of playttime on it. Mike whats the breakin period on these?

Well ive had the handle blackgeltabs since I was 16, needless to say I've grown out of that name and I am pretty much embarassed by it now. My Canidates MagsRgod - My IM name SandsOfTime Fonzi - A nickname of mine Parallel_Concepts I could honestly careless what my internet handle is, Im open for suggestions. I am a huge Philosophy buff so abstract names usually strike my taste.

I just noticed that Treo is selling amps these days, looks they picked them up damn near a year ago too. Has anyone used or seen these at all, it looks like a nice amp and I'm sure it peforms equally as well. Does anyone know if they're using someone elses boards in them? I bet they only cost 2 arms and half a leg.

Agreed, certain comapneis are made to make certain things. Some just try to exploit everything with average products.

Especailly when the dont seem to be that popular, I have never heard any talk about them. Some companies I feel I'd trust, Like the DD amp, I have never heard much about that either but I feel it would most likly be a rock solid amp, especially compared to alot of amps out there today...

Image Dynamics makes a 3-way that is supposed to be quite impressive, price may be kind of high though.

I wish, it will be a long time before I get my hands on that car again. Unfortunaly hes across seas in Iraq defending the homeland...God bless his soul. Hes been over in that general area of the world for the last 3 years. Did his 4 years in the military, did a tour in Afgan, and Bosnia. His 4 years were up so he signed up for national gaurd reserves being promised that he wouldnt be shipped back b/c he wanted to go to school. Also a fantastic amp. I put a pair of cadence amps in my buddies tiburon(sp? Care!, they suck anyways) Nice amp, I used the Z8000 800x1. Impressive install though 2 Ed 12o flat cones Koda Comps Pioneer Touch screen dont remember the model anymore z8000 for subs 400x2 Q3000 150x2@2 for the comps...ear bleeding Special order orange wire to match the purdy amps

I have never gotten the chance to use, install or play around with a Hifonics amp. I really do like how they look though, basic, I like basic. The only amp I never give any credit too aside from the obvious ones is the POS JBL BP1200.1, I hate that amp.

Ive had great luck with Memphis, 1500D, 1000D, and 1300D a little underrated, small foot print and if you get the Studio series Very Beautiful IMO. But I ended up going with kicker this time, though I would have liked a Belle 600D, or that damn Tarantula 800/5 to bad that fell through. Im not sure if any can be obtained for under 250, but if you take denims advice and do it right the first time then you have a lot to play with down the road.
