ok i got everything goin good, i get a some drops here and there but all is good. for those that said i should do the big 3, i know what that is i upgraded my grounds with 1/0 and that helped alot. i really like the mag and im very happy to have this sub. so many people have audioque ,fi sundown, mtx, kicker etc but i get to have a sub not many have. i had a friend of mine check out my set up today and said it moves more air then my 15inch ssd, 3 12s pretty much any setup in the past 6 months in my new car. im gona buy a truck soon im waitin on my back disabilty money . i might do a 4 15s tune low.

any one ever use a 12insh si mag claw? i have one that is a v1 with a v3 soft part recone. it has not seen power. i have a box allmostrdone. its 2 cubic feet net tune to 32 Hz. i have a audioque 1200d. s hity sealed box keeping my sub safe.lol

the dmm way is ass, , what if i want 900rms. thats 30.0 but if im geting voltage drops u will f things up. u need 2 dmm's one on the speakers and one on the + and - of the amp.

if i see low voltage with my lights on im going to back off on the gain. i allways set it with the lights off. when i turn the lights on the voltage drops. so pretty much u guys think i should set the gain with my lights on my car

u think it will move some air in a 03 tiburon gt hatchback? i had a fi 15inch ssd, i all so had a 12inch l7, audioque 15inch 2.5 and 3 12s sealed. with the aq 1200d if i put my lights on and set the gains and if im geting bad volt drops would that b a good way to set the gain. i dont wana f the sub up. i have a extra batt.

you need a dmm to check the ohm at the amp, and u need a dmm to set your gain the RIGHT way.u can use a 50 hz test tone and u can even do this with out havin your subs connected.most people can do it by ear and some amps will let u know if your cliping the hell out of your amp. Audio q amps have that. And do u have any kind of bass boost on as far as your deck setings go?Or even a loud seting on u dont wana use any of that stuff try to keep it flat as possible.

I have a few questons i would like for you to answer bro, it will help every one out for sure 1. What ohm sub's do u have and how are they wired?( you can check the ohm load with a dmm you put the + on the + side of your amp and the - of the dmm on the - on the amp)ps its a up side down u on your dmm and put it at the lowest number it might say 200k or so 2.What radio do u have, is it 2 volts or 4 volts that will effect how your gain should be set 3. The shop you went to do they know about fi subs Here is what i think they wired it up put it in a box to small , turned the deck up and said ok ok ok turn the gain up ok thats good. i would like to know on a side note do they do big jobs or do they try to sell there own subs ( jbl kicker mtx you get the idea) One last thing its not a shoot at you but bro come on you paid all this money and you have no idea wtf is goin on. You have to get your sh it together i doubt Fi will do anything for free for u cuz u have no info to give them. You might need a recone bro good luck.

As far as the sundown amp goes it puts out its rated power at 12.8 volts. So if you can keep your volts above that then u will see more power. i have a sundown 1200d and if i can stay above 13.00 volts this amp can put out over 1400 watts at one ohm. u can look in to audio q for your amp if u want u can get to 2200ds . i think there 379 shipped each. http://www.audioque.com/aq/AQamps2200D.htm

As far as box goes i would tune to 35 Hz, and i know you seen a few vids etc but i hope u know u will need 1/0 ga wire, big three done in 1/0 ga wire. u will need a front batt and a back batt . i would look in to Powermaster for your batts. If u can stay over12.8 u should be good as far as voltage goes if u cant then u will need a Ho alt 200+amp.For a daily set up i would send 1500 to each sub but if u are ready to buy a Ho alt and a few batts then i would send a soild 2000 watts to each sub all day. oh yea u will need to deaden your ride u will need to brace your ride. I know u see the videos on youtube and it looks cool but man it takes a lot of money to get everything right. for your own good dont think your stock alt and one batt will b ok cuz it wont b ok lol. good luck and have fun.

tune a little bit higher, i would tune to 32-34 hz u will like that much better. u will hit the higher bass much better and still be able to hit the lows. how do u have your subsonic set? u really dont wana set it much lower then what your box is tune to. right now im tune to 35 hz and im at 32 hz for my sub sonic.

u can look in to a ac mic. it can be a few db's off.

i got the box down pretty good, one bracket might need to be redone it is not to as good as i would like. The screws would not go threw the metal to good i did get it threw but not all the way. but when i lift the box well when i try to lol it goes no where. the wood under the box does not lift up. i think i should be good now im just waitin on my sub. it was gona be here monday but i checked it last night and it now says wen or thursday it should be here next week. i have my box ready i fixed up a few spots and now im ready to go. im gona look for a new front batt in the next few days. when i have it all goin the way i want ill post up some vids and pics for you guys to see.

im headin out to the store tomrrow to get some stuff well im there i wana pic up some new screws that will keep my sub down nice and thight. i did not go with a dubble baffle and with my new 15inch ssd on its way, i wana make sure that my sub does not lift out. here is the thing my last sub a audioq 2.5 was jumping around pretty hard in the same box the ssd is goin in. Can any one lead me to the right screws so i will not have a issue? I will be bolting the box down better to make sure the box it self is not goin no where as well. thanks guys Joe

Well im back smoking i had not smoked in 7 months, i can say what i dont like is that if every one is smoking how would car insurance be effected? I know when im smoking i make sure i have the stuff i need befor hand. I know its way safer to smoke weed then drive then to drink a few beers. I could see the gov say this is what u can sell and this is the grade and put so many limits. then you will have a guy/woman that will sell more or sell a higher grade and cuz some issues between the shops that are selling weed.

im just doin one 15inch sub up ports back. i think i have drilling the sub down at this time. im a little nervous if my screws will be long enuff. If i can get it pre drilled and i have to get more scrwes im cool with that. I wish the wood was flush all around that would be easy. when i screw threw the wood there is a half inch gap then u hit the metal and when i start to hit the matle my Lbrakets would lift up .

i got some starter screws so i can get threw the metal of my car. here is the issue my trunk has this wood that is not flush with the metal . there is a outher area that has to b lifted up with a few foam peces under the wood. My box has a few L brackets and when i go to screw down the screws dont bite to the metal. i went back to get longer screws and they did not have. so i was thinkin of pre drilling and then send some longer metal screws threw. it might be more work to pre drill but im sure it will work out . if not im gona have a issue how i had it befor the box was moving up and down cuz it was just screwed down to the wood not to the fram.

It's plain and simple, screws fail, they WILL fail and they WILL strip the wood. Use T-nuts and bolts. i have had 2 diff subs in my box and the box is like 3 weeks old . ill go to the store and find some t nuts. is this something i should grab a few extra or i should be ok with just 8?

Do i have any othere options? im goin out soon to get some stuff and i wana get some screws , what othere screws can i get?

i have a 03 tiburon gt i have a small stock alt and a basic starter battery for now. If i need to get a new front batt i was thinking powermaster .I have used powermaster in the past i was happy with there batt's. I just wanted to make sure the work i have to do to get my box bolted down will be worth it. i wana underpower my sub for some time i hope to not see any issues for the time being. I did not go with a dubble baffle any one think lock tight will work to keep my sub in place? how about diff screws i have allways uses basic wood screws?

I have a Fi 15inch ssd d-2 on it's way. I have a sundown1200d, at 1ohm can i send 600watts to the sub?i have 4ga and a stock alt and battery.this is why i wana send unded 800watts.i had a audio q2.5 and at 580 watts iwas seeing volt drops at 12.9.
