Newbie Sign IN

Can anyone help me out. I have a 2002 S-10 ext. cab and for my sub amp I have a Infinity 611a which is around 650 watts @2ohm. I want to use 3 RE RE-10D4 but someone suggested 2 SR-12D2. I listen to a lot of rap bass heavy music and I just sold my L7 12 for a CVX 12 then I found RE. The reason for wanting to use those subs is $. I can purchase either setup for $150. Will the 3 10's or 2 12's output match the L7 or CVX ? I need some serious help with this and what type of box, sealed or ported. Thanks

Hello ssa forum. I'm new to the whole car audio forum. I'm in the works of building a system. Haven't had any slap since high school. As I have found technology has greatly change since then, sure I will have plenty of questions. Run down I have a 07 Saturn ion looking to get a Q18 2 ohm in the trunk running it with a rockford T1500 amp. Should sound good since my car is pretty much just plastic. Been curious if the dent resistant panels are bass proof lol. Just throwing out there clueless on how to power this amp "cheaply" as in not looking to have to buy a alt. I'm using one of my friends amps for the time being becasue my old sound storm started putting out a massive DC offset, positive left channel and negative right channel, but im planning to get 3 PPI pc2300s and eventually 3 PPI a600s. -Brandon
