I drive a 99 ram 1500 which has had five different audio setups, I am currently working on my biggest build yet consisting of a center console build housing two FI Q10 d2 with everything but high QTS, Front stage is Image Dynamics 6.5" component, and rears are Image dynamics 5" coaxial all with .5 mdf baffles. Headunit is a new alpine cde with the tuneit option, amps are going to be a soundstream reference 4.760 for front and rear stage, and the subs will be powered by strapped soundstream rubicon 1.1600d ported using a 4" dimpled precision port. The electrical will consist of two XS D3400 with two runs of excellence …

New to the forum but not car audio, signing in from deep south Texas

Just checking in. I always visited this forum, and purchased things from the actual store but never signed up. I usually stick to floridaspl and occasionally SMD and ****, but just flipping thru I like thisuch better lol. Less trolls and negative critisasm ( I know, it is everywhere ) Name is Jason, I live in Jacksonville Fl. My current build is 8 ssa zcon 15's in a 2.5:1 4th order. 4 crescendo 5500's, 1 singer 400A alt ( externally regulated, and soon to be two). I am in the process of building an amp rack to fit 20 Xs power d1600's, and somehow try to figure out how the heck I can build a bracket to fit an additional alt.

Hello I'm definitely new to the whole forum deal but am told this is THE best place to learn about car audio. I am wanting to learn as much as possible in order to better myself in the car audio industry and make this hobby into a life style! Just wanted to say what's up. Im currently driving a 06 gmc envoy. So far audio wise I have a Jensen flip out (came with the truck....hate it) sub is a 10" ssa gcon in a custom fiberglass box built by me and the sub is powered by a ppi black ice 1300.1 door speakers are factory. Nothing to exciting. Im also working on my wife's xterra which is/will get a full audio revamp.... in the process of building a fiberglass enclosure for two 12" aq sdc2.5 for the sub stage powered by a mb quart onyx 1500.1 and the front doors will get 6.5" cadence comp and rear will get a set of cadence coax powered by a mb quart onyx 80.4...... nothing to crazy either....be more show than anythi…

Hey guys, not much of a computer person but I read a lot of threads here when I need info, so I figured it was time to join. I Hail from Madison, WI but moved to sw Kansas a couple years ago for work as an airplane mechanic. Car audio is a weekend hobby for me so my knowledge is fairly limited. Working on a sealed trunk build for my two Fi BL's as we speak. Have a few questions about amp/ headunit settings and adjustments so will be posting in the near future. Found this place out of the blue, actually. I have been sitting on a BoltarVII for about 12 years - waiting for the right person to have repair it(long story) I came across the Zed repair site which had a link here. I didn't get a response to my inquiry so I'm hoping I can find someone here to take it on. I was in my late teens early twenties when the car audio explosion hit here. Hey everyone I am new to the forum. I have a few questions that I am hoping some of you will be able to help me out with. I am currently running two power coustik mofo 10's on 1000 rms. I am looking to upgrade. I am trying to decide between the Fi ssd and DD's 2500 series. I am leaning towards a single 12. I was contemplating between a single 12 and a single 15 but the ssd 15 calls for 3.5-4 cubes for a slotted enclosure. I don't think it will fit in my trunk. I am pretty confident that the overall dimensions would fit however it is initially getting it into my car that has me worried. Another thing that has me worried is that I have tried contacting Fi two different time…

So I'm getting a Fi Bl 15 and I was wondering about yalls oppions on tuning and box size. I know absolutely nothing about tuning so that's mainly what I'm looking for, but what size box should I get as well. I'm getting an audio shop by me to build it.

Finally singing in, after watching the forums for a while! Not a total audio whiz, so I hope to learn some and maybe even share some during my stay! As far as where I'm at with audio, I'm between subwoofers at the moment, I fried my RE SXX d2 15" a couple of months ago (I knew it would happen eventually) because A: it was on a RF T1500BDCP, and B: I wanted to push it way lower than box-tuning (damn you Decaf!!!). I came here because I really like SSA, sundown, and FI stuff. But here's a rundown of my setup in a 2004 dodge ram. I have boston acoustic door speakers, a kenwood receiver, pure 1500d subwoofer amp running a alpine type r black cone (1000w rms) in a fox box. Now can i ask questions yet, or do I have to wait?

first post to the ssa forum, really looking forward to reading as much as i can about all kinds of things concerning sound, currently drive a 03 si hatch with a few sound goodies alpha damp on the doors sides and rear hatch, set of 6.5 jbl components running about 200 watts and an apline type s 12 on 500 watts, sounds pretty ok looking for the next sub stage to replace the over sized box and perhaps pick up some lows i know i am missing.

Hey, im new to this I got a 98 expedition with 7inch touch screen with a clarion eq 0guage autotek m4000.1, American bass vfl4480 haven decided which One I wantto keep in, 2x12's xcons.. evolution audio dx300.4 for my doors Which is pioneers ts g8644. I dont like them dont know who to switch to 6 Rockford tweeters. Im pretty much on here looking for advise on a couple of Issues I'm having, 1. Light dimming, 2. Altenator whine, 3.
