im a long time watcher of the site being as the guy next to me is always on! i thought i would check it out and see whats going on in his world. i do enjoy the loud thud of bass!

Finnaly Found me a descent Car Audio Forum. Im From Houston, and i am New to this car audio thing. I dont have a car just yet, but will Beetween January 2008-March 2008.

I joined here this past February, but never really posted or visited much. I'm back to read up on what is new, as I am going through a change in my subwoofer and sub amp.

Hello all!! New here and just have a quick question to get me started, picked up an 18" soundqubed sub and i'm going to build a ported enclosure with blueprints from soundqubed; problem is they don't specify what type of wood to use or the thickness, some info here would be greatly appreciated!! Hello all. New to this forum, but not new to car audio. Been buying and installing equipment since 1990...way too much equipment. I'm excited to have found this forum!

I'm a 29 year old autobody guy who dabbles in car audio because, hey, i build cars for a living! Not into competing, and was out of the loop for a good chunk of time (i was very into audio back in my HS days) so i'm getting used to the inexpense of massive power, and plethora of drivers to choose from. Currently trying to finish up my system in my 2002 outback daily driver. Debating on sub, because i want to keep things limited in size, because i carry stuff in the back a lot. Also finishing up two classics that are mine, and thus i'm putting sound systems into, though one i intend to just sell, so it's not getting anything great, just the mistake of a purhcase RE USX…

Some of you might already know me from Youtube, for those who don't I "Bass-out" cutting-edge bass music for a bunch of the basshead peeps. I don't have a vehicle or nothing, but I do have a custom system in my room that puts some car systems down hard lol. My system consist of 4 12" mids, 6 5" mids, 4 2" silk dome tweets. Powered by a Denon-AVR3803 for the mids and I have a small 200 watt amp for the tweets. The bass power comes off the Denon too. I used a phase converter on the right and left channel and brought it down to 4 ohms & use a low pass filter from a salvaged home theatre sub. New to the board. Ended up here because I am looking for a new 12 and was looking through the black friday deals. Been on some other car audio pages for a long time. Never had anything all that fancy though.

What's up, SSA? UPS guy just delivered my e8's today and I thought I would log on to see what the rest of the Sundown world was up to. Looking for build ideas and advice. Still undecided on box design so I'll be searching the forums and hopefully soon I can post a build log. Late.

looking for suggestions for upgradeing from my 1 havoc 15 to 2 12s or 2 15s or even 1 18....my budget is about 300$ ...im looking at some obsidians right now.....just looking to be louder than what i got now.....right now im running a 220 amp singer alt...1200 rms hifonics brutus amp and 1 havoc 15 in a 08 grand prix...had it db tested this morning and it hit a 143.1......sub and amp are for sale ...basket is broke on sub but still runs well....about 3 months of play...with proper break in.with box..250$ 150 for amp...its 1 month old

I have a box under my back seat that has a mounting depth of 6.7 inches... i am thinking about getting two fi x 12s, i have a 4000 watt mono block autotek amp.. any better ideas on woofers?

We've been lurking for a couple of years now , and since my son has some questions , i guess we should introduce ourselves . I'm Clay 47 yrs. old and my son is Josh 23 yrs.old . We are competing in MECA AS2 this year . We have a 1997 4 door Blazer with a MOJO 15 D2 being pushed by a Sundown SAE1200D . So far the big 3 is done in 1/0 , 2 batteries and pretty much stock from there . Highest score so far has been 144.9 on music , engine off per class rules . We would like to say thanks in advance for any help we ask for and thanks for a great site as well .
