I just purchased a FI Q15 for a sealed application in a 95 Lexus SC coupe. I'll be using the 'spare tire' location for the box and should be able to get at least 2.25 cubic feet of volume. The sub will be driven by a JL Audio HD750/1. This car is basically a show car with big power and I wanted to add some finishing touches to the sound system and I think the FI Q15 will give me what I want ( more sound quality than SPL ). Currently I have a Pioneer AVIC Z110BT headunit, JL Audio ZR650 components in the front, JL Audio C5 6.5 coax's in the back deck being driven by a JL Audio HD600/4. To start i think the forum rules are hilarious there was no pulling punches but sensible nonetheless. I drive a 2012 jeep compass with the uconnect and boston acoustic amplified 9 speaker system. I have had a few different sub stages, quite a few different head units and a couple coaxials i have also done around 7 installs for experts and am learning everything as time goes on. I listen to literally every type of music which makes picking my equipment interesting and i am also broke thereby making it even harder. Yo i'm a lil' southern boy from charleston SC haha and i was lookin for some help on my system setup. What i have planned so far is a 10" 2 ohm FI Q for my acura rsx. (It's a hatchback and there's nothing between the seats and the trunk) I already have some polk component speakers which will do for now. For the amp situation i was thinkin either a dsc1000.1 ( DSC1000.1 - MB Quart 1 Ch 1000 Watt Amplifier ) for the "Q" and a 4 channel discuss amp for the tweeters and front speakers, or 1 discuss amp, and a sundown audio amp wherever it would be better suited (4 chan. or mono) Sorry if that made no sense. looking for suggestions for upgradeing from my 1 havoc 15 to 2 12s or 2 15s or even 1 18....my budget is about 300$ ...im looking at some obsidians right now.....just looking to be louder than what i got now.....right now im running a 220 amp singer alt...1200 rms hifonics brutus amp and 1 havoc 15 in a 08 grand prix...had it db tested this morning and it hit a 143.1......sub and amp are for sale ...basket is broke on sub but still runs well....about 3 months of play...with proper break in.with box..250$ 150 for amp...its 1 month old

New to the forum.

I have a vfl 100.1 American Bass amp with 2 12 inch dual 4 ohm subs. I noticed that my mono amp has 2 positive and 2 negative inputs. Is there a reason it is like that or does it internally bridge it to 1ohm after hooking up both 12inch subs to each terminal? Thank you any help would be appreciated.

Howdy folks! My name is Ken, and I'm from Ada, Michigan. At 41 I've seen and heard alot in car audio. I spent a few years installing in local shops and in my garage. My first system consisted of: a Hitachi 321AR tape deck. a Concord CA30-4 amp, a pair of Polk 6x9's in the rear deck, and a pair of Bazooka 6 1/2" Bass Tubes in the trunk. Hi all, It's been over a decade since I've been into car audio. Thinking about restarting in stealth mode with a shallow mount sub. No longer a basshead and been out so long. Can't believe the Brahma is back. I "donated" a Mk I when I moved a few years back.
