Just dropping by to say hey to everybody. I'm waaay too old for this, but I'm doing it again. I've been a fan of car audio since I heard my first real system back in 1984. There was a guy named Sid who owned a car stereo store, and he came by to show off his new install in his 76 or 77 Monte Carlo. It was a typical installer's car... Wires all over the place, cassette deck sitting on the hump. It had a single sub firing up through the parcel shelf under that big "V" back glass. He played "One Thing Leads to Another", by The Fixx. I got queasy from the bass, and I've been looking for that same feeling ever since. My new system is about to come together in my 1986 Toyota T…

Hey guys, brand new to the world of car audio and just had a few questions! Planning to get two 12" icons, and being 1250watts each looking for a good 2500 watt amp...but I was wondering is it better to get an amp around 2500-3000 watt or two seperate at 1250-1500 watts? Also to be able to run these I plan on getting an xs battery but which should I get? I also plan on doing the "Big 3", but is there anything else I should do? Thanks for the help everyone, like I said complately blind in this world but really want to learn!

I came here because I really like SSA, sundown, and FI stuff. But here's a rundown of my setup in a 2004 dodge ram. I have boston acoustic door speakers, a kenwood receiver, pure 1500d subwoofer amp running a alpine type r black cone (1000w rms) in a fox box. Now can i ask questions yet, or do I have to wait?

Hello just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I am an SQ enthusiast and from the UK. I am lucky to be with Team Hybrids and run the following system: Pioneer DEX-P99RS Headunit. 2 Genesis DMX amps one bridged on a FI IB3 12 and one running Hybrid Audio L6s Sinfoni 45.2x running Genesis R1 tweeters, Sinfoni 90.2 running Hybrid Audio L3s This is mounted in a Mazda 3 saloon. I here. Let the fun begin. For those that do not know me, I have been involved in Car Audio for a little over 8 years. Been involved with Cars for even longer. I have carried ASE Certification for Advanced Automotive Wiring, and am Currently a Mechanic and Webmaster. I am the Owner/Administrator of Soundwaves Car Stereo (www.soundwavescs.net), and have been for the last 2 or so years. Gradually it is evolving into not only a community and technical resource, but I am also going to be offering Car Audio Gear for sale, and a fair price for everyone. Through Soundwaves Car Stereo, I have also done several installations for people in my area, and have a pretty broad r…
