Well, despite my reluctance to join another forum, my brother supa_c spends hours on here, so i figured it had to be better than caraudio.com's forum. I probably wont be posting nearly as much as he does, since I'm usually working or busy tinkering my own website at http://blacktee.net anyways, i like the emoticons, so thats a good start....

Hey, I'm Andrew I'm not new to bass but I am new to building systems. I've researched and read a lot on this forum and on some other car audio forums. I've been around systems my whole life, anything from surround sound, car audio to 100k watts of bass at an EDM festival. I guess you could say im addicted to low frequencies. I've already started my build, that's what brings me here. I placed an order for an SSA Xcon 15" a few days ago so I figured I'd sign up on here aswell. So currently I have bought: SSA Xcon 15' dual 2ohm Audioque 2200d (Brand new 343 shipped) I looked at sundowns too but for the price I couldn't pass the audioque up. Pioneer AVH-x5500bhs Items needed:…

Hello, I have a SAZ1500v3 and I'm curious to hear some opinions/thoughts on the clipping light that's on the bass knob. Do you guys absolutely make sure that your light doesn't flicker what so ever...or will a small amount of flickering not be anything to worry about? My current frustrations are all revolved around this. I feel like my clipping signal is somewhat premature. I drive a 2013 optima SX. Stock HU/alternator/battery under the hood. I have a Stinger battery in trunk. 0g wiring. 1 dual 2 ohm 12" Fi BL running off the SAZ1500v3 wired at 1ohm in a ported Khaotik enclosure. (I'm aware that I sound like a total noob right now). The shop that installed everything al…

Hi Everyone !! It's been about 10 years or so since I've been in the Car Audio game. I used to run Fosgate and AVI stuff when I was younger ( I'm not old by any means) I moved to Home Theatre for the last while but I am now getting back to the Good Stuff I've met with 3 installers in my area, 1 of which I remember was around a long time ago. The vehicle is a Saturn Vue. We have decided on Focal/Audison setup with their Clarion DXZ945MP Unit to round it out. Either the Polyglass 6.5 Components or the K2P in the front along with an Access or Polyglas 13" in the rear custom boxed, all run by the Audison LRx 4.300. ( I may at a later date replace the rear door 6.5's but…

Hello I'm definitely new to the whole forum deal but am told this is THE best place to learn about car audio. I am wanting to learn as much as possible in order to better myself in the car audio industry and make this hobby into a life style! Extremely eager to learn as much as possible from people that already know their bizz. Tired of ignorant arrogant people that just get mad at you for being wrong. I would rather be told I'm wrong and why I'm wrong that way I can learn from it and further better myself in this fast growing industry. I appreciate all of the feed back everyone gives and the learning process won't be easy but it wouldn't be any fun if it was! Thanks to e…

Hello SSA forums, glad to be a new member here! I just ordered a 10" GCON (dual 4 ohm, for a sealed box), and was curious as to what types of RMS levels it would take to work well? I know it takes up to 750 WRMS, I was just curious how well it would do with less than that, as I still need to get an amp for it, and money is an issue. it will be in a 2003 Saturn Ion, no sound deadening, and it is a daily driver, so I was looking for decent sound quality, with the ability to thump if need be on occasion. On a related note, would either Soundstream PN1.650D, or a Crunch PZA1500.1 be better for this sub? I'm open to other amplifiers, but I was looking to spend under $150, and…

Whats going on guys? Tito here just wanting to say whats up . I came across the forum by looking up estimated delivery time for the Fi SP4 i ordered a few days ago. I own an 85 mazda rx7 and a 2004 cadillac deville. The 85 rx7 has a simple setup with 2 kicker l5 12s in a prefab ported box, using a jl slash 500 to power them. The 04 deville has 2 sundown X8 in a 4th order bandpads enclosure, powered by a hifonics zues amp, soon to be replaced with 1 Fi SP4 18" in a custom 6.5 cu enclosure tuned to 31hz. I look foward to chatting with u all and learning some new ideas.

Hello All!!! I`m super excited to be part of this great forum. I`m looking forward to learn about car audio and such. I would love if some if you guys give me some recommendations on what kind of set-up to get. I have the factory setup on my 2005 Acura TSX I was looking to upgrade such system if possible at all. I was thinking of adding an amplifier and maybe a subwoofer to start. I currently have a $700 budget that can be used towards upgrading the audio on my car. Thanks for your help.

I'm a noobie on car audio, but people around my area love me for what I do. If you're from Houston, hit me up! I'd love to hear your system, or let you hear mine! Mine is pretty basic at the moment, I'm fixing to sell my whole system and get a single 15" or 18". Anyways, hi everyone!
