had systems in the past but didnt ever really go in depth with them just got what ever the guy at the audio shop told me would be best but now starting to try and get into it and learn installs and box building/ tuning myself and stuff and eventually want to compete once i get my system how i want it and at a point i think i have a chance lol

Yep...Santa did it this year: 2 x 18 Fi Bl -Dual 1, Cooling, Flatwind, Daily, Non-universal. Sundown Saz-3000d (thanks acex3a) 180max/135idle Iraggi alternator ~40' of 1/0 welding wire still need to get some 1/0 battery terminals and clamps for 1/0 big three and a new battery under the hood. dunno if I want to tackle the box this time around, might just have a shop do it. planning on doing ~15 cubes after displacement, and tuned to 32 or 33 hz. I know nothing about sound acoustics, and the effects of internal design. so plain jane rectangle is gonna have to jive for now.

Hello from Austin Texas. I found my way here by way of another forum I am active on. In searching to put some bass in my new camaro a fellow forum member recommended SSA products. Just thought I would introduce myself. My name's Tim and I live in NC. I've been around car audio for 18-19 years. I used to be a sq competitor in IASCA and Slap in the 90's. I was a certified judge and trainer until 2003. I've been away from car audio for a while but not audio in general. I've been messing with home theater and audio. hi everyone ive been a basshead forever but just really started getting into build a "REAL" system as of right now i have 2 treo te dual 4 ohm 15's w/ a P.O.S legacy big red 1200x2 amp and sony h.u in a 76' chevy caprice. its ok for now im looking for a hifonics brutis 1200d to replace the trash i have now. but my system and car are a work in progress .ive been looking around on here and have been in amazement at sum things and i think this is a good place to feed my BASS addiction lol

I am looking for a suitable replacement of 4 Boston Acoustics Pro series 10.4LF. Normally when a customer is looking for sq I just direct them to Boston Acoustics 3 series subs because I've got the hook-up and can make a little on the deal. But with the car audio division of Boston I would rather start using something else. I currently have a customer that owns 4 10" B/A's And even though 2 of them need to be re-coned, he still thinks that it's the best way to go. I am trying to steer him toward something newer, but am not going to be left looking like an ass if it don't perform as good or better. Hey guys, brand new to the world of car audio and just had a few questions! Planning to get two 12" icons, and being 1250watts each looking for a good 2500 watt amp...but I was wondering is it better to get an amp around 2500-3000 watt or two seperate at 1250-1500 watts? Also to be able to run these I plan on getting an xs battery but which should I get? I also plan on doing the "Big 3", but is there anything else I should do?
