Hey everyone, Finally decided to sign up here at ssa audio forums. Ive been lurking ROE ever since the beginning of its time, but knew of SSA as well. Figured I better get a start and check out these forums since Sundown Audio rocks this part of the net. But all good. Hope to meet some of you on here. Thanks and take care!

Hey guys my name is Steve and I am new to the SSA scene. Iv been into car audio for as long as I can remember. I have always had a stereo myself and enjoy helping friends with theirs. Was looking to buy a Sundown-SAX1200 for my W6's. Bought one from SSA and found the SSA forums so I though I would join up and introduce myself The sundown will be replacing my Orion 600D so I cant wait to hear the difference in power! Im glad to be here and joining a great community! Thanks, Steve

Hello, I am in a serious situation here. So, my buddy and I are into this car audio thing. (You'd have to be from Iowa to understand that its looked down upon.) So, he has his two SA-12's on a SAX-1200. And they hit. So, the main thing I was wondering, was what would basically give him a run for his money? I have considered 2 Fi SSD 15's, 2 SA-15's(out of the question, I don't wanna be the homo who copies him), and the main choice I'm complimenting at the moment is a single 15" on a SAX-1200. Possibly an Icon 15"? Any input is abliged. Thanks! -Austin

Long story short i made a thread on a local forum (hawaiicaraudio.net) and it was about my 12" si mag v3. Someone mentioned a ssa xcon and them being great """SQL""" subs, compareable to my mag in many ways they said. That was enough for me to want to join this forum, ive actually browsed on here before, read up on a few different sundown topics (x-8 which im excited for). From what ive seen, this seems like another great forum So yea...WHAT UP GUYS!

Hey everyone, I'm Brandon and I've been lurking on your boards. Learning, admiring, drooling. I work in the car audio field, but I'm sick of the brands my store carries. I have general questions, but until I gain a little credibility, I won't bother y'all yet. My daily driver is a 2000 quad cab Dakota. Small system installed just to get me by. Alpine 9855 HU, Alpine Type R doors, 8"L5, XD700/5. New truck=new sound. 2000 Harley F150, extended cab, all stock right now. I'm raising the seat up and debating between the sa-8 and the sa-10 I'm more of a sealed box guy, but always willing to step outside my comfort zone. Thanks in advance for the welcomes and help. I…

Hello Everyone! Stumbled upon this forum researching on Sundown Audio amps. My name is Jay. I work for Shop SFM / GCTuner the aftermarket performance side of Vertical Doors INC in Corona, CA (yeah the lambo door kit guys lol ) I've been modifying my ride since day one (Literally no stock day since ownership! ) I'm in the market now to do a simple sub and amp setup (budget friendly & light weight if possible). I don't need super loud and prefer clean SQ sound. I'm super noobish especially when it comes to this department so I appreciate any and all help. For now I'll be trolling the site reading up on your guys' setups. Thank you very much! Here's a few pics on my…

Hello all, I'm not new to mobile audio, but it sure feels like it. Ran my last setup fo ten years or so. Traded the Yukon for a Land Rover, now I hafta start over. Just feelin lost, the names I used to know don't appear to be what they once were. I have never dealt with comps before, now I have a 3way set in the front and 2way in the back to replace as they are shot. I have decided that a 10" DCON is what will be out back. I just hafta figure out which way to go on mid/high. If I ask stupid/tired questions please bare wth me. Thanks, Kevin

my name is Quade, i'm somewhat becoming an audiophile and was told this is the best site for subs and anything related. I have a Dodge Ram quad cab, I just built a front to back box for 4 12's. I'm currently deciding what 12s i want! I currently have two RE SE 12s and the xt4000-DE that I'd like to sell. I love that system, but I don't know if I should stick with the REs or go to Treo, JL, new Kicker, who knows what. If worst comes to worst, I'll just buy two more SE's I assume. Anyway, glad to be here, just following the rules. haha. And anybody else have huge truck boxes? Just wondering.

What up guys? I joined back in 2004 and I was active for quite a while (mostly reading and learning back then rather than posting) and haven't been on the forums in a looong time. I doubt anyone remembers me so I thought I'd sign in again! I got my feet wet again with a 12" DCON in a custom center console in my silverado. I looooved it for 3 whole weeks until it was stolen I'm about to order 2 more for a build in my TSX I'm back....and I make more money now so I have more $$ to waste on car audio P.S. How do I change my member title? My tastes have changed in the last 7 years and I really hate it now haha

Purchased my SA-15, sax-1200d and 100.4 a few months ago, just starting to install everything now and as I'm in the design process for the sub box and amp racks, have a few questions for the box design. I'll be fiberglassing an enclosure into the spare tire well of my rsx, and would like to make it a sealed enclosure for the sake of making my life easy since it will be my first build. Where the hell is the search function on this forum btw?

Just dropping in to say hello to everyone. I have been installing my own basic audio equipment for years. But, I'm looking to learn more of the custom installation like fiberglass, etc.

Hey all, new to the site but not to car audio or online forums. First off I'd like to say that I placed my first order from SSA for a Sundown SA-8 on Sunday it's Wed. and it just showed up! Thanks for the super fast shipping! I will hopefully be putting in an order for the second one soon. I plan on running two SA-8's on a Memphis MCD 16-1000 in a 2005 VW GTI. Hopefully I can start up a build thread soon. Anyways, great site and great forum. I look forward to learning a lot and helping when I can.

Hi all! Just another new guy here, I have been into the scene for a few years though. I'm attempting to make the jump from fabricator to designer/tuner/fabricator. I have built cars from the ground up for years, even went to school for it, but have never done the audio side of the build. I just got a new toy, a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 regular cab. I know a regular cab isn't the optimal choice do to the lack of space, but I couldn’t pass up the deal. I have rims, tires, lift, go-fast parts, and everything else in the garage or on its way, so onto the audio for me. My experience in the audio world has pretty much consisted of handing money to someone and saying “Make it lou…

Met Mark LaFountain last night while I was hanging out with bassahaulic in Baton Rouge. Was talking about how I wanted to put 4 15s in my truck and didn't know what brand or how I was going to go about doing it and he (of course) mentioned SSA. He mentioned wanting to see some "ZCONs" or something in there. Well . . . guess I'll check it out I'll be posting up a current build log shortly. All my former rides are on www.youtube.com/cfmetal16

Hello all. Its been a while since I was into or did anything with car audio, but I've always had music in my blood so the fever has come around again. Hoping to catch up on what's new and hot and see what I can do to upgrade my recently acquired Mazdaspeed 3.

hey all, obviously I'm new here. I recently started caring a lot more about my car audio and integration. I figured I'd join the forum since I just purchased a ssa sub for my car. I've always been more of a home audiophile, but i seem to be home less and less, but in my car more and more. I'm looking forward to learning more about it. -John
