Hello. I joined this site as a favour to my husband. He is always talking to me about car audio this and that and I will be honest. I only understand about half of what he is saying. I have spent the last few months reading threads and information from his account, but when i ask questions i get more confused that before I asked. I really want to be a part of his hobby, and want to understand so maybe i can climb up the helper ladder from "go find my the square screwdriver" to "help me sauder this wires". I sort of understand ohm's, how to build a box(help with that lots), i understand how cars themselves work(i have been a car fanatic since i could walk) but amplifiers…

With a love and feel for music, my brohah recently has encouraged me to vamp up my car with a new stereo, speakers, and more over an xcon 15, now I not only hear my music but feel it as well. Hope to place in amateur competitions with it, possibly stock class!

Herro, My name is James and am currently living in Japan. I'm new on here and am looking forward to purchasing a Dcon 12 in the very near future. It will be going into a Suzuki Alto Works (ported, just need to get final measurements to fit the box behind the so called rear seat). I currently have a Kenwood I-K77 HU and will be using an old school Nakamichi PA301 I have lying around (I actually have 2 lying around). It's rated for 240 watts at 2 ohms. Do you guys think the 12 will be under powered? I was thinking going with dual 10's but already have a 1 cube sealed box for a 12 that isn't being used. Hey what's up. I just got into the car audio scene because I just got a '06 Scion tC and want to upgrade the sound. In my old car I had an Eclipse head unit, MBQuart components in front and back, and an MTX amp powering it on. I didn't do much research...just went to CarToys and picked out what i liked in my price range. In my tC I plan on dropping a sub...so I've been doing a good deal of research through forums. Hey guys the name is Alan and i live in Durham, NC. Been roaming around the forums for the past couple weeks and finally got around to making an account. New here i like checking out new forums i'm in and out of term pro alot and have competed in db drag for some years now. I own a audio shop and like I said I like to keep my ear to the ground on new products and techniques. I currently am waiting to get my new ride out but in the past I've ran DD,Image, crossfire, re, premier,us,lanzar(one of my favorites), and alot of other crap.. last year I ran a 96 cavi with 3 lighting strike 15" in a wall with 19 cubes and bout 300 sq of port it ran 149.9 daily lol i love my sleepers. hope to see what this forums like
