Hey guys. I found this forum while searching for info on Fi subwoofers. Though I'd join and read up, gain some knowledge. Not a total noob to car audio, but I'm far from a pro. I've installed HUs, wired amps up, simple speaker installs. That's about it. Building a ported enclosure (which I'm thinking about doing w/ whatever 12 I end up getting) would be the most involved I've gotten probably. Great site. I'll be doing some lurking and a few posts here and there. Oh and I guess I'll list my set up as it is now. 2002 Bonneville SSEi Pioneer deh-p6000ub HU Hifonics TXi-4008 2 channel for comps (100w x 2 at 4 ohms) Alpine SPX-17ref 6.5 components no rear fill Profile…

New to the forums, lurked for awhile though lol. From chicago. Finally joined so i can get some suggestions on my next build. Currently i have a 2000 Impala with a set of PWX 6.5s in the doors ran by a MB Quart 100.4 I had a 10' ICON D1 till i messed it up. it was ran by a BD1500. I have knu 0 guage ran from the batt to the trunk and then 4 gauge audio technix for the amps. Have the doors deaden with 60mil from AT and a bit on the trunk. Current plans are swapping out the PWX for some RF pro mids. I have some vifa tweets i want to add on as well. As far as the ICON i am not sure what i can do with it. The issue i have is i was listening to it on the day i took the spare t…

Hey everyone, I just ordered one 15" Xcon for my 2005 Dodge Ram. I was originally running two 12" RD Sonances before one of the surrounds came apart... So I figured it was time for a change.

Hi guys just wanted to introduce myself to the forum as I am new here. My name is Chris and live on Long Island and I am 25 years old and have been into car audio for about ten years now. I went to school for tech school for Automotve Aftermarket Accessories for 2 years when I was in 11th and 12 grade and became a Mobile Electronics Certified Professional Bronze Level. That has since expired and countless stereo systems later I now have 2 Alpine Type Rs 1242d 12s on a Hifonics Brutus 1200d Monoblock (at 1 ohm) in a box that is 2.25 cubic feet per chamber and tuned to 45 hertz (ported). I am running 1/0 gauge wire with a Kinetik HC1800 under the hood of a 2001 Ford Windsta…

I'm a noobie on car audio, but people around my area love me for what I do. If you're from Houston, hit me up! I'd love to hear your system, or let you hear mine! Mine is pretty basic at the moment, I'm fixing to sell my whole system and get a single 15" or 18". Anyways, hi everyone!

Hey guys, I just signed on to the forum. I'm relatively new to the world of car audio. I own a '95 GMC Jimmy and have plenty of room in the back. But I'm going to college soon so I don' exactly have a lot of cash to spend on audio equipment. Luckily I found out about Sundown Audio on another forum I frequent. I hope to get one or two of the new SA-8 subs when they come out next month, or maybe on or two of the old E-8s. I'm also enrolled in a woods class at my high school so I was gonna make a few sub boxes as projects in that class. If anyone has any tips on building a vented box please PM me.

Hello, Just picked up an FI BL 10" from a local classified w/ a kenwood 800w amp(probably not gonna use) for $120!!! Kid said it was an SSD but upon removal and further inspection it is a BL, D2 config. I just printed the cut sheet for a new box and am currently in search of a new amp. I wired up my Memphis MC500.1 and that BL just laughed and barely moved @ 1ohm. I never should have sold my 1k!!!! Oh well!

Hi everyone. Im new to this board, but not new to car audio or car audio message boards. I have been a member on CarAudio.com since 2002 with a great reputation. So I'd like to say Hi and hopefully I can contribute a little bit. I am trying to sell two of my BNIB TC Sounds LMS-R 12's so that I can make my Pre-Order for the new SA-8 V2's. My question is, how many post do I need to have in order to post my subs for sale? I looked on the For Sale section and did not see that there was a minimum posts amount to post in that forum. There simply is not a "Post New Topic" button in the For Sale Section for me. Thanks guys!
