Newbie Sign IN

I need a complete new system so it's good that I was able to find this site b4 i made any reckless purchases. I need 2front and 2back speakers replaced. I also want a sub n amp that kicks HARD when i need it to but i can control the amount of bass easily. I've been looking at a single 12" VS12L7 kicker sub (2-OHM) in a SOLO-BARIC BOX with a HIFONICS BRUTUS BXi1608D 1600-Watt D-Class. Would this b a good combo for what I need? (sorry if my description on these 2 things dnt add up cuz i'm not sure wat any of this means). im also gonna need a new radio btw but i'll worry about that later

well i am new to ssa... coming from roe... i went to a comp in tuscon where i met ssaudio... and he told me to check out the form so here i am.... my current setup 1 15cvr.. 4.5cubes tunned to 32hrz audiobahn 8000t .. got it for 45 bucks lol cant complain.. stockdeck and comps for now 131.6db tl 06 malibu ltz futer setup.. 2 ssa 12s tunned to 32 kicker zx2500 big three extra batt new comps off amp not sure what yet oh an im sixteen for any one who cares...

Hello everyone! glad to be here im 33 used to get in alot of trouble changed my life around 3 years ago.. just got my licence back after 8 years and just got back into car audio.. i love this stuff!! keeps me busy and my mind of things.. i wasted alot of money in the best months on cheap ishhh.. im starting a new system now,.. in october my new subs will come so i have a few months to get things ready! i just got two new sundownsa 10's 2 months ago but thats not enough.. lol so im in the process of selling my current setup to start fresh.. so we will see where this new setup will take me!! thanks guys!

New to the forum here is a run down of the truck. Clarion- NZ500 matching EQ, 4 sets of 6X9 componets in the front doors, A-pilla pods have 5.25 componet, titanium tweets in the stock location on the dash, power by 2 Aq 90X4... For BASS 6 AQ 10's power ed by AQ 2/3500D. XS power alt 270/360/ Bat 2/D3100 / 1 D 6500 under the hood. My camera is broken can take any pic. New guy here. Looking for help on a potential audio setup for my 2010 Dodge Charger. I'm looking to get 2 12" subs, amp, and enclosure first. ( <<<looking to spend about $800. is that feasible?) Then looking to get an aftermarket head unit down the line. I honestly have no idea about car audio so I need some suggestions. I want something that sounds good but hits hard. I mostly listen to hip/hop n rap so I like bass but not to the point that's all I hear. Any suggestions or opinions would be great. I know you guys probably get these questions all the time (sorry) but I figured I'd ask people who know something about car audio. Thanks, Blunt

I start becomin a regular over here... So I think this is my 3rd Newbie thread

I'm planning a system. So far, it's gonna be a havoc 12 with some sort of sundown powering it. Here's my issue: when it comes to ohms and all that other stuff, I'll admit I get a little confused. I was planning my system based on a simple premise: If amplifier A puts out X amount of watts at 2ohms, and you pair it with a 2ohm sub, you would get X amount of watts. Easy enough, right? Well now, I'm getting the impression that things go further than that. I had planned on getting a sundown 3500D amp, considering it puts out 1,750w at 2ohms. That with the 12" havoc 2ohm sub would be a nice fit, right? (AA states the havoc to be 1,250RMS and I could go easy on the amp power) B…

Hey guys. I found this forum while searching for info on Fi subwoofers. Though I'd join and read up, gain some knowledge. Not a total noob to car audio, but I'm far from a pro. I've installed HUs, wired amps up, simple speaker installs. That's about it.
