So I've been perusing the forum for a while now, but never officially introduced myself. I'm USAF stationed at Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany. Current set up is a set of Polk Audio DB5251's up front on an old PG Tantrum 250.2, 2 Diamond Audio TDX 10D4's on a SAZ-1200D and Knuconcepts 1/0. Still waiting to finish my Big 3 this weekend. Signing in. Newbie got out of car audio 7 or so years ago, built it, liked it, left it alone, but they keep pulling me back! New car. New audio. Sony CDX MP70 - I love it! well, this is my first time on the site. i can honestly say, ive been searching for a good car audio forum and i finally found one. even though im young, ive been into car audio for a couple years now. im still trying to finish my audio install in my silverado. have 2 memphis mojo 10s, 2 tarantula trx1500ds, 2 memphis 8s for door panel subs. and a 600 soundstream capcell. all the audio will be in fiberglass enclosures. my 2 10s are in a custom fiberglass centerconsole that i built myself.

Just wanted to say hi. I'm new to the forum. I'm still putting my system together, So far it consists of an Eclipse CD7200MkII, An orion HP-4600 running 2 sets of Morel Components, and an Orion HCCA-D5000 running absolutely nothing. I need subs bad.... That's kind of what brought me to the forum. Seems pretty good. I looked around the site for about an hour before I posted. There is a lot of great info here. noob here from nc

Just got 2 team 18's(dual 2's) and plan on putting either 2 bc5500's or one 'merica 12k on them for power. I want to do a flat wall but need a little help on what size box to use, i.e. cubic feet per sub, sq in per cube for port, aero or slot, and tuning frequency. Thanks in advance for the help! Oh and space is no issue as it's going in an Astro.

Hey people! Obviously as you can see, a from Hawaii here. Recently got back into car audio after driving around for a year with no front door speakers and stock cd player in an 04 SRT. Recently upgraded my H/U to a KIV BT-900, front door speakers now have Focal 165a1 components, stock 6x9 coaxials, and using a cheap kenwood amplifier to run a 8" REAudio sub in a slot ported enclosure. Doesn't sound too shabby since I been fooling around with the DSP and T/Z built into the H/U. Hopefully with me coming here, I can learn how to improve my front stage from the rest of you knowledgeable people

Hi guys i have all sorts of problems,1st where to start. my OHIO alternator does lousy at keeping the charge to my 4 xs 2700s, i have 2 runs of 0 gauge from the front battery to the back, 2 grnd and 2 positives, big 3 in 0 gauge,my amp will play about 5 min then shut off, then play 1 min and shut off and so on downhill. back when i had 2 orion 15s amp never shut off, same set up diff subs. now that i got 2 18 SMDs i think they are too hungry for power the amp is 9000w rms 13.8 volts. alternator is 14.0 when cold 13.4 warm then music goes and so does the voltage12.8 max. someone said to get a smaller pulley OHIO sent me one with 6 grooves mine is 8, DC power makes a dual …

whats up guys, i found this site from a google search for fi subs.. I'm looking for the best boom for my truck. I drive a 2002 GMC sierra single cab. I have an alpine 9813 head unit, MB Quart component speakers in the doors n b pillar and a 500 watt Orion amp. I had two 12 inch PBX subs in a sealed box powered by a sony Xplod 1000 watt amp. it bumped pretty nice but I didn't like that it couldn't really be heard outside of the truck so i sold it..
