Quick question. If I have two subs at 1 ohm each and they were wired into a mono amp with 4 connectors, would the impendance come to 1 ohms since they were technically in parallel?

I have been into car audio since I was old enough to drive thanks to people like Alma Gates, Scott Owens, Gary Biggs, and Chris Norris over the years I have learned alot from people in car audio and hope to continue learning from more. There is alot of awsome videos from you all and hope they keep up the good work and carry on the car audio industry. As to me I dont now much about SSA but plan to learn alot after I start a new build in my Explorer so with that all said thanks to anyone that is in this forum and hope to get some good response from you guys and from SSA. Thanks again!

Been into car audio since 1998 (didnt even have my liscence till 2001) by the end of 2001 I had upgraded to 2 mtx 81000d's and a DD9515. Go big or go home! Have been just trying to enjoy my music lately but the bass just keeps pulling me back in

just doing what i'm told and introducing myself. i'm in the wait for shipping price and final total from SoundSplinter for my RLi-10 dvc. really excited and can't wait to get it. it will be in my regular cab Ranger, sealed. as for box size, not sure yet, going to wait and see what i have to build around. after months of reading posts here and at other places the RLi sounded like what i needed. from the reviews i'm glad i didn't impulse buy and get something crappy. space was a factor, depth being the most critical, but in the end it was overshadowed by the fact i couldn't find something shallow and still be want i wanted. most shallow mounts in my price range were low in…

Finally signed up here. Currently running a Sundown E12 in a 1.5 cubic foot enclosure tuned to 33Hz off of a JL 500/1. It is an absolute steal for the price.

Ive been in audio for longer than I care to admit. I recently decide to upgrade starting with a ssa Icon 12 d2. I currently have an older hifonics bx1500 running it but I dont like that amp much. its sloppy and doesnt put out much power. I used to run rockfords and lower powered subs, back in the day when a 700watt amp was big power. Anyway I am looking for recommendations on a good amp to pair with this sub, but of course wont break the bank in the process. 1500w to 2000w is what Im thinking for power. This sub is replacing a 12" infinity perfect if that tells you how long its been since I seriously researched my purchases. the dyno tests are nice but they tell…

Hey people! Obviously as you can see, a from Hawaii here. Recently got back into car audio after driving around for a year with no front door speakers and stock cd player in an 04 SRT. Recently upgraded my H/U to a KIV BT-900, front door speakers now have Focal 165a1 components, stock 6x9 coaxials, and using a cheap kenwood amplifier to run a 8" REAudio sub in a slot ported enclosure. Doesn't sound too shabby since I been fooling around with the DSP and T/Z built into the H/U. Hopefully with me coming here, I can learn how to improve my front stage from the rest of you knowledgeable people

This will be my first time trying to do anything other than just straight swapping speaker for speaker. I have a '96 Jeep Cherokee Sport that i would like to stick a woofer in the "cubby hole" similar to this http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/write-up-97186/ . Except that i would like to avoid spray foam and just fiberglass the cavity. Is this feasible? Would it last? Also I would like to 'glass a replacement panel for the car instead of just hack up the original and hide the woofer. This is a Daily beater vehicle until i get around to finishing my classic car... and will probably remain a daily vehicle even after that. I was originally looking at SoundQubed's HD…

I'm on CAF by the same name, it's gone screwy so I've popped over here. That's basically it...is there a protocol for this site like you have to be here for x amount of days before you can offer advice or weird stuff like that? My "system" if you can call it that, right now is two SSD's in a ported box off a hifonics bxi 1606d with type r comps of a PG 250.2. Within the month is going to completely change to a 10" BL off a cadence txa1000d, phoenix gold ti6's or if I can get the fundage Focal k2ps, off a cadence txa 3002. Fully deadened doors, amp racks and everything...I'll keep ya'll posted.

Well there are so many things I could tell you about myself. As you notice my log in the hubby is on here too and we are in the process of building out my car....2008 Mazda Tribute. I am so excited to be competing this year in MECA. We started today by testing to see what frequency will be used. I will be keeping everyone posted with pics as well of our progress we are shooting for January 31, 2010 to be the first show I compete at. There is a lot we have to do but I have confidence we can get it done. I will be competing in S1 this season. I look forward to learning some tricks of the trade on this forum. Good luck to everyone this season.

Hey guys, I used to be an active reader of caraudio.com forums but got tired of them and got interested here. Anyways, a bit about me I drive a '91 Nissan 240sx with: Clarion DXZ745mp -Crystal CSc60s Components powered by a PA 400.2 Amp -Adire Shiva Mark IV in a sealed 1 cuft box powered by JBL bp600 Amp -Knukonceptz wiring all around I wish to upgrade anything and everything. I will admit I lost major interest in car performance, racing, etc (my car was lined for up an sr20det drop but I decided to not follow through) and now my focus is on car audio. How/Why the hell? I have no idea. Unfortunately I'm a freshman at Virginia Tech and my car is not with me. Damn those…
