Hi all! Just another new guy here, I have been into the scene for a few years though. I'm attempting to make the jump from fabricator to designer/tuner/fabricator. I have built cars from the ground up for years, even went to school for it, but have never done the audio side of the build. I just got a new toy, a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 regular cab. I know a regular cab isn't the optimal choice do to the lack of space, but I couldn’t pass up the deal. I have rims, tires, lift, go-fast parts, and everything else in the garage or on its way, so onto the audio for me. Hi there. Just joined you all the way from a rather cold England. My name is Erskine and I have a very strong working interest in Bass Box Designs, anyway I have just been given two nice new Magnum D2's which I shall be putting into one of my tried and tested Three Chamber Internally Ported Reflex Boxes. As the D2's are two ohm per coil, have previous owners got a preference for the wiring options. Both coils in series or parallel and then both speakers in either series or parallel. I will be using a Genesis Monobloc rated at 1650wrms [1200wrms with my current electrical set-up] into one ohm and I am more of an SQ guy rather than out and out SPL. Just interested to hear …

I've been looking for a forum for auto equipment for some time. I'm working on a '77 280Z. After I get it back from the body shop I'll be looking into a stereo. Head unit/ 1 sub/ 2 tweeters/2 or 4 mids and maaaaybe 6x9's out back alot of my z friends don't think I will needd a 6x9's in the back. The last time I did an install was in the '90's early, so I need to catch up on alot of stuff.

EH! SSA! You guys are my saviours for audio. Best place to buy specialty audio that shippes to Canada without depleating my wallet! So, naturally, when I found out you had a forum I joined. I am a bit lost with the SEARCH tool here. There are tips and tricks that I feel I am missing because my searches return incorrect matches. ie. big + tree or big AND tree or "big tree" I don't find relevant matches for 2 or 3 word searches.

Hey everyone. I found this site while looking up stuff about US Amps, and I'm glad I did! So, I'll be lurking here and there. Name is Mike, and live in the Warner Robins, GA area. I am an Electronics Technician in the Navy, and Systems Administrator in my civilian life. I've been heavily into home and car audio since about 1987, and have a deep appreciation and love for the old school, hand crafted in the U.S.A., quality gear that seems to be rapidly going the way of the dinosaur.
