Came here after looking around the forums searching for guidance on my new build. I recently came to the realization that my kickers and alpines were just enough to make me hungry for better sound, and aren't cutting it for me anymore. So its time to start planning and collecting parts for an upgrade. I drive a 2005 Xterra SE. Im looking to get a good bit louder, while maintaining pretty good sound quality. Not really any aspirations of competing. Just wanted to say what's up. Im currently driving a 06 gmc envoy. So far audio wise I have a Jensen flip out (came with the truck....hate it) sub is a 10" ssa gcon in a custom fiberglass box built by me and the sub is powered by a ppi black ice 1300.1 door speakers are factory. Nothing to exciting. Im also working on my wife's xterra which is/will get a full audio revamp.... in the process of building a fiberglass enclosure for two 12" aq sdc2.5 for the sub stage powered by a mb quart onyx 1500.1 and the front doors will get 6.5" cadence comp and rear will get a set of cadence coax powered by a mb quart onyx 80.4...... nothing to crazy either....be more show than anythi…

Quick search and I didn’t find an answer to this easy question so I’ll ask here: If I go with US Acoustics Barbara Ann 100x4 @ 4 ohm amp how can I wire 2 Evil tweets and 2 Evil midbasses? I was figuring buy the tweets in 8 ohm to roughly power them w an estimated 50W from two channels active and get the midbasses in 4 ohm to roughly power them w an estimated 100W from the other two channels active. Is that how it works? Is each load independent on each channel thus getting independent power from the amplifier? This seems obvious but I’m not sure.

I'm currently running and icon 12 off 1200 watts in 2.4 cubes at 29hz. There is like zero information out there at least from what I found so I'd figured I'd ask here. Specifically info on box builds, what worked etc. I have the all the specs for the subs but was wondering if anyone had any personal experience.

Hello, I am in a serious situation here. So, my buddy and I are into this car audio thing. (You'd have to be from Iowa to understand that its looked down upon.) So, he has his two SA-12's on a SAX-1200. And they hit. So, the main thing I was wondering, was what would basically give him a run for his money? I have considered 2 Fi SSD 15's, 2 SA-15's(out of the question, I don't wanna be the homo who copies him), and the main choice I'm complimenting at the moment is a single 15" on a SAX-1200. Possibly an Icon 15"? Any input is abliged. Thanks! -Austin

Hey everyone first time posting so hopefully not doing it wrong. My question is has anyone had issues using jl fix 86. I have 17 Silverado with factory Bose. Only thing factory I’m using is the head unit the issue I have is my mids have always been kinda flat I’m pretty certain it’s a calibration issue it always says it’s calibrated and all lights green but I literally returned speakers thinking something was wrong with them then discovered re calibrating the fix will make it sound different sometimes but always shows it calibrated. I’m thinking maybe different vehicles may require extra steps to acomplish proper calibration. I did get it a little better by turning gains…

I am looking for a suitable replacement of 4 Boston Acoustics Pro series 10.4LF. Normally when a customer is looking for sq I just direct them to Boston Acoustics 3 series subs because I've got the hook-up and can make a little on the deal. But with the car audio division of Boston I would rather start using something else. I currently have a customer that owns 4 10" B/A's And even though 2 of them need to be re-coned, he still thinks that it's the best way to go. looking to up my reserve power for my system in a 2008 grand prix.i currently have a 220 amp singer alt.with a 3 year old yellow top that has been used and abused. the yellow top has enough power to power the car perfectly but drains fast unless im drivin around.im running a 1200 watt rms amp and am going to a 2k soon...just looking to up my reserve power as cheap and as smart as possible.
