Hi, I am effse7en (like spell check). I have a 98 Chevy Malibu, with an Alpine CDA-105 head unit and an Alpine Type-R 12" running off of an Eclipse XA-1200 amp. It's alright, but I think I might sell the setup to a friend and get 2 SA-8's on about 1000 watts. I found SSA because I was actually looking into the SA-8, and found the post about the pre-sale. I looked around a bit and I A-wanted to see the rest of the posts, and B-liked what I saw. See y'all in the forums!

Hello from Austin Texas. I found my way here by way of another forum I am active on. In searching to put some bass in my new camaro a fellow forum member recommended SSA products. This led me to this place! Thought I would say hello and am looking forward to any knowledge I can gain from here. I am a car audio newb for sure. My main goal is sound quality with my stock system. Again hello. Cheers K

I am looking at both of these units' specs. The J.L. lists 75 watts per channel at 11.4 volts, the Sundown seems to list 100 watts per channel at 14.4 volts. When I say seems to; it lists testing voltage at 14.4.I would like to know if the 100.4d was tested at 14.4 volts, and if so what would be the rated wattage at 11.4 volts. Apples to apples. Also the signal to noise ratio is much different for these two units. If anyone can tell me at what output these tests were run for each unit.I understand the there is a good chance only the manufacturers know these answers, and they may not want to tell. I also would like to know where Sundown Audio manufactures their products…

Hey guys, just wanted to sign in and post some info. I found this site looking for info on Sundown amps and I got more than I hoped for here. I have '06 Scion Xb, I spent a lot of money on visual and suspension modifications and it's about time I put some better audio in the car than stockies. I'm on budget as the wifey looks at me with a killer eye every time a new part comes in for the car so I can't get what I want exactly. I wanted to do good front components and good coaxials/components for the back as we always lay front seats flat and sit with our heads right infornt of rear speakers when we go to drive in movies, wanted good Sundown 4 channel for Speakers and 4or2…

Another newbie here that clearly did not read, lol. I have already made a thread in the sub section.... sorry. Anyway, I'm 34 years old and married with a couple kids. I recently bought a truck from friend that has a nice setup but the audio bug has bitten me again and now I am looking to upgrade the low end of the system. He spent alot of money getting this all done and installed clean with quality parts but it just doesnt hit hard enough for me. Current setup is Alpine Multi Media headunit (Nav, Bluetooth, DVD, aux, sat, etc etc.) Alpine 4.150 Alpine door speakers, (4x6's I think ) they sound great! one Rockford Fosgate P2 in a .53 sealed box Looking to upgrade to so…

Hows it goin everyone? My name is William, but everyone calls me will, and I'm 21 years old. I just signed up for this site today while I was doing some research on some sundown amps and I saw a forum link on their site. I've been interested in car audio since I was a teenager but haven't really gotten into it until about a year and half ago. I just want to say that I really like the layout and function of this site already and I think I will learn alot from the sire and everyone on here.

Hey guys I just joined here but have been a member of another audio forum for a few years. My current set up I have in my expedition is a pioneer f900 head unit, inifinity kappa components in the front doors and kappa 6x9's in the back powered by a alpine 400.4 amp. Right now I have a 12" mach 5 audio ixl powered by a total mobile audio 1000.1. Pretty happy with that set up but have always wanted a big sub so I ordered a 15" FI Bl and just got it today. I get my expedition back tomorrow and then am going to install it. I built a 3.5 cu.ft box that is tuned to 32hz. I am in the process of covering it in truck bed liner and hoping it turns out alright. I joined the forum to…
