Happened to stumble across this board in my search for a set of subs and an amp for my pickup. Got my truck runnin at 700hp but it has no bass! Cant be having that... I plan to build a fiberglass sealed box under the rear seat of my 2003 4 door dodge 2500. It should net me at least 1.75ft3, so most likely looking at .75ft3+ per sub box. Being in my twenties i listen to rock, rap, hip hop, country, classic rock. Im just looking for decently hard hitting bass when i want to crank it up. Not looking for top of the line sound/equipment that will cost an arm and a leg. Looking to spend no more than $300 or so on two 10's, plus an affordable amp that will push the subs to thei…

Howdy, I'm used to the common generic message board formats. This one gives me brain damage. How does one post pictures directly from a hard drive? I don't have host site, and the URL links seem to indicate code errors when I add a link to reference a picture. I notice you can do it with a personal avatar. my name is Quade, i'm somewhat becoming an audiophile and was told this is the best site for subs and anything related. I have a Dodge Ram quad cab, I just built a front to back box for 4 12's. I'm currently deciding what 12s i want! I currently have two RE SE 12s and the xt4000-DE that I'd like to sell. I love that system, but I don't know if I should stick with the REs or go to Treo, JL, new Kicker, who knows what. If worst comes to worst, I'll just buy two more SE's I assume. Anyway, glad to be here, just following the rules. haha. And anybody else have huge truck boxes? Just wondering.

I have been a member for a few months now just never posted anything. I have lots of projects going onfrom a blow thru in a 79 chevy to a custom trunk build in a 98 diamante, I have even been drawing up plans to wall my caliber. just wanted to introduce myself and i am new to this form. i am from oahu, hawaii. my current setup in my truck is an old kenwood ddx8017 head unit, rainbow germaniums running on off an ed nine.2 and a sundown 1500d running a single 12 idmax. i just wanna learn more on this form and looking for ideas to change my setup.

I have been dicking around with car audio since the early 1980s... currently, I have a 1992 Vette with an Alpine 7998 hu, JL Audio 500/5 amp, Canton RS3 front stage, JL Audio 10W3V2, no rear fill. Some of you may know me from the www.corvetteforum.com, where I am the keeper of the C4 (1984-1996 Corvettes) Audio FAQ and the mod of audio stuff over at www.domesticmisfits.com (feels like I am writing a resume!). Just looking for some more audio info... I am a pure audiophile. I don't want bling, I want sound. SQ is where it's at for me!
