Hello everyone. Just checking in. Guess I'll be popping in over here every once in a while. Had a Magnum 12 in my Trans Am for quite a while. Have met Nick and he's a great guy with a great product and I hope to one day have his stuff in my car again. Maybe a set of 307s with a SI selected 6.5" midbass along with the sub I wish they'd build, but more on that later. Hey guys, My name is John. I currently am spending my summer in Tucson, AZ. The drying out state of all. I go to college in Dallas, Tx. I have been looking to upgrade my car audio system and heard this was the place to be for knowledge. Seeing how so much has changed since the last system I put together (10 years ago) I felt it was necessary to re-educate myself. I appreciate any knowledge I can absorb from here. I was told that the audiopipe 1800 was to powerful for my alpe type r subs the are 1800 watts peak and 600 watts rms need help adjusting my amp so I don't blow then them any help helps thanks

What's going on SSA? I saw a few links to discussions on this forum here and there, so I finally decided to go ahead and join up. My knowledge of car audio is limited, but I plan on soaking up as much as I can, and divulging what I do know freely. Thanks for having me.

I figured I would stop by again and check the forum out. Im trying to find information on repairing a 5.25 midrange tinsel lead. Its on a Kicker ss56.2 mid. I have the break located in a section that is under a wrap that holds lead to underside of cone. Any tips opinion or exp with a similar issue is appreciated

I have no experience in enclosure construction at all and have been tearing through forums for some helpful advise in enclosure designs. I am pretty confused at this point about some things and was wondering if anyone could clear it up? I am under the impression that if a certain speaker is in a smaller enclosure that it will handle more power and a larger enclosure will be more efficient (less box rise). so if that is true, will they be equal in spl if they receive the same amount of power (after rise) rather its in a "smaller" or "larger" enclosure? i have also heard of people covering ports to play with their tuning, is this just a solid cover reducing the height/width…

Hello all. Joining in from the Tulsa area. Vehicle is a 1987 Chevy truck with an in-work system consisting of Hybrid Audio speakers and Tru amplifiers. Just getting started competing this year, but I'm the SQ game. However I'm toying with the idea of doing a blow through setup later this year, so we'll see where that takes me. Other than the audio, the truck has an aluminum headed 383 that I built last year. HP is ~500. Also got the trans rebuilt and the rear end is scheduled to be rebuilt in July. After that, I'll be taking it to the track for some fun on occasion. I'm also hoping to get into Hot Rod magazine's Drag Week this year which begins and ends in Tulsa.
