hi new here and it's been some years since i had a system. it will be the first time that i ordered from ssa. i ordered 2 x Sundown Audio SA-12 and did the pre-order on the Sundown Audio SAE-1200D. i hope all goes well.

I found this site while researching the effects of impedance rise. I am working on building a system and trying to learn at the same time. I am buying a HDC3 15, my box is 4.5 cubes tuned to 38 hertz, kerfed port with 74.25 inches of port. I have a Hifonics 2010D amp 1/0 gage wire (double runs). Still have a ways to go, but like i said trying to learn.

Hi all. I am looking to replace the stock sub in my Lexus GS 430 w/ Mark Levinson system. (to start) I will be replacing the front door speakers and dash tweeters with components later (probably Focal 6.5 K2s), The rear deck fill speakers will remain stock (if they sound OK after the upgrades elsewhere) Fist I would like to start with the subwoofer. I have a JBL 300W mono amp to power the sub I will be adding. Will the SD10 work as in IB sub? The stock sub I am looking to replace is a 10" mounted in the center of the rear deck. The sub will fire up towards the rear window creating a horn effect like the stock sub. The Q looks close and the Fs in nice and low- will this su…

Hey guys. I just found this forum last night as my girl was bugging me to come to bed so now shes gone and I can browse uninterrupted haha. I'm putting together a whole new system for the car after blowing my 2nd RE SE12( don't know how/why that happened BTW if anyone has answers I'd greatly appreciate) and this site looks to be a wealth of awesome info and advice. Hey everyone. I was running 2 12" JBL subs with a junkey 1200 watt amp, and a 600.1 cobolt orion amp going to 4 6.5" component speakers, all hooked up to a junkey deck. A few weeks ago my truck was broken into and my whole system was taken. Im planning on starting from scratch but would like suggestions for a new head unit, and amps for the FI BTL subs I plan on buying this week. I would like to put an individual amp to each of the 2 BTL's, and I already ordered a replacement Orion amp. I want to make a nice custom SPL system, so any other suggestions would be great. Hey guys I'm new here and found this site via many recommendations of SSA subs. I currently have a single eD 11Ov.2 being powered by an Alpine MRP-M500 in a 1965 Mustang. I learn more and more everyday that a 44 year old car is just not mean to handle a system (even a small one) and that is why I feel like I am constantly upgrading stuff lol

Hey folks. I'm here to learn more about car audio. I've got a 2006 MINI Cooper S that has a piss poor OEM system and a lot of road noise. I've decided I will do sound deadening and audio system improvement. I have a handle on what I am going to do for the deadening, but the audio part is a maze right now. An item that would help me immediately is recommendations for shops to listen to speakers in the Southern California area. Thanks for your help. Paul
