This is my first post on SSA. Apparently I registered a long time ago, but never posted here. I actually never heard of the website until I purchased an ICON about 2wks ago. I then came and tried to register on the forums, but they said my username was already taken (which has never happened to me before). I guessed a couple of my older p/w's and got it right, so now I can be a cool SSA member too!

Hey guys. Finally decided to post somethin so I just registered, which i guess makes me a newby? Anyway, I am definitely enjoying my RL-P 15. It is currently in a simple 2cuft box running off a SoundStream Reference 500sx. I will be switching cars soon which explains the simple box. This sub gets good and loud and I haven't even done any tuning or messing around w location. The quickness is incredible. My front stage consists of CDT EF-51 components and dayton 8's for midbass. Both run off SoundStream REF 604 which may soon be replaced by a Monitor 4channel. About myself... Have been studying mechanical engineering at University of Florida for 3yrs now. Been into car aud…

  4. Hello everyone. I was browsing this forum and it looks like the people here are more mature than other forums.......you know which one... anyways, I have a sundown saz1500d v1 and an american bass VFL extreme 15" All stock wiring and stock battery and I have 4awg about 4 feet to the battery which is located in the trunk. The sub slams pretty hard, but I notice a wierd burning rubber smell when I play it loud (not normal car rubber. It's more toxic, if that makes sense. A guy from CL said that I'm probably clipping the sub since I have all stock wiring. Would a second battery do the trick? Any help appreciated. Car is a 2010 HHR LT

What’s everyone’s experiences? Had numerous small systems but always in older cars. Seen a few posts online from random people and responses are over the place. Some are like its voids all electrical, or just the audio on the car, or the audio and if the dealer says it affected another circuit or system. Just wanting experienced audio enthusiast opinions/ experiences. It’s a 2017 Camry. Wanting to either transfer my existing stuff in( 2 JL12wo in a slot ported wedge box, jl 500.1 and the big3) or upgrade to something bigger. Pair of sa12’s on a 1500.1. Thanks for any info, it’s my first car with a warranty, lol

Been cruising the forums for years, had an account, didn’t post much.. Finally getting back into one of my favorite hobbies now that daycare isn’t eating the bottom of my wallet! Not sure what my old account was, but I had an 18” AA Avalanche in an old Jeep Cherokee XJ.. had a few of you good ol’ boys help me through my first recone IIRC.

Hello all. Its been a while since I was into or did anything with car audio, but I've always had music in my blood so the fever has come around again. Hoping to catch up on what's new and hot and see what I can do to upgrade my recently acquired Mazdaspeed 3.

whats up guys, i found this site from a google search for fi subs.. I'm looking for the best boom for my truck. I drive a 2002 GMC sierra single cab. I have an alpine 9813 head unit, MB Quart component speakers in the doors n b pillar and a 500 watt Orion amp. I had two 12 inch PBX subs in a sealed box powered by a sony Xplod 1000 watt amp. it bumped pretty nice but I didn't like that it couldn't really be heard outside of the truck so i sold it.. I listen to rap about 95% of the time so I like earth shaking bass that knocks pictures off the wall if I'm outside your house. I don't want to cut into the bed though.. I wanted two 12's again but i was told not to have my hear…

I had a kicker zx500.1 on it but I just recently bought a Rockford T1000-1bdcp. I was looking at the Fi SSD 15 or the SSA Icon 15? Which Sub would sound better?hit harder? The sub would go in a 3.75ft box Net, tuned to 35hz.

Hey I'm Jim. I recently joined other car audio forums and got but raped for "scamming" when I legitimately purchased/traded for an item but turns out I was the one who got scammed in the first place. We can talk about that if you want. Anyways, I'm learning and getting into car audio more and more. I'm pretty occupied with school and running two web design companies I look forward to meeting everyone and if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask
