I have no experience in enclosure construction at all and have been tearing through forums for some helpful advise in enclosure designs. I am pretty confused at this point about some things and was wondering if anyone could clear it up? I am under the impression that if a certain speaker is in a smaller enclosure that it will handle more power and a larger enclosure will be more efficient (less box rise). so if that is true, will they be equal in spl if they receive the same amount of power (after rise) rather its in a "smaller" or "larger" enclosure? i have also heard of people covering ports to play with their tuning, is this just a solid cover reducing the height/width…

I will soon have an SSA Icon powered by an audioque 1200D in a 2.5ft^3 ported box tuned to 33htz. My two channel amp and infinity reference 6.5" components should be here soon to take care of the highs and midbass

Hey all what's going on? Been quite a while since I was last on here. Had a nice AIM convo with Dave Edwards and that got me back to checking out the board. I've just been so damn busy since I moved back to my parents house 2 years ago. I'm going to school, working 25+hours a week, coaching high school football and baseball, playing hockey and softball, along with trying to have a life. To say the least I'm a bit busy. I'm going to try to dedicate some time to checking the board atleast a few times a week. Just wanted to let the few that do know me that I'm back.

I heard bout ssa from an audio demo at the fire it up car show in peoria. i got a single cab ranger with 3 12" california profile cx 12's powered by a 1000 watt koiiler 2 ch. amp. then a 500 watt insignia 2 ch. for the door speakers. haven't installed the door speakers. lookin forward for the ssa 8" decon's. id put 3 in my truck for sure. well thats bout it. thanks.

My old one included- (2) 12 inch Powerbase Extreme Subwoofers (About 800 Watts RMS Each) (1) Elemental Designs NINe.1 (1400 RMS at 14.1v) Here is a pic My future system - I really want the new SSD's (2) 12's depending on the price. I think that will match my needs the most. I want around 1500-1800 RMS and I am still looking for an amp. I hope I dont need to upgrade in the electrical area. I have a 2006 Dodge Charger V8. Hey guys, just wanted to sign in and post some info. I found this site looking for info on Sundown amps and I got more than I hoped for here. I have '06 Scion Xb, I spent a lot of money on visual and suspension modifications and it's about time I put some better audio in the car than stockies. I'm on budget as the wifey looks at me with a killer eye every time a new part comes in for the car so I can't get what I want exactly. I wanted to do good front components and good coaxials/components for the back as we always lay front seats flat and sit with our heads right infornt of rear speakers when we go to drive in movies, wanted good Sundown 4 channel for Speakers and 4or2…
