I've been all over the internet with this. I anyone here has a workable solution, then this forum is better than any of the other half dozen places I've contacted. I have a 2012 Nissan Sentra that has the factory installed radio/CD player. It does not have any USB ports for playing music. What it does have is an iPod port. Not a port that you plug an iPod into directly - rather a port (inside the console) that requires a cable to be plugged into it, with the iPod itself plugged into the other end of the cable. I do not have an iPod, nor do I have any plans to hunt one down. It seems like obsolete technology that is incredibly overpriced compared to the cu…

Hello everyone. I am jonblack and I live in Louisiana. I last worked as a car stereo and alarm installer over 15 years ago. Needless to say that most everything has changed since then. I recently bought a 1997 Honda Odyssey van. SInce I have plenty of space I thought I would build a very small system, something I have not had in years. In doing research on Alpine Type R subs, I cam across a lot of info on SSA DCON subs. After looking around several forums I have decided to go with a SSA DCON sub. See you around the forum jonblack

This will be my 3rd post in the Newbie section so I may venture out into the general forum population I think the best introduction may be what I am currently working with and were I hope to go. I have a Kenwood head unit, (the model evades me now but its on the way out the door as I bought a new double din today) The mids and highs come courtesy 6.5 and 6x9 Infinity Kappa Reference speakers powered by an Alpine 500 watt amp. The lows are coming to the party via an Incriminator Audio 12" Lethal Injection sub currently mounted in an Atrend SPL box, it's being motivated by an Alpine 650 watt mono-block amp. I say currently because this is not the sound I want, I got the b…

Hello everyone. My name is Justin, I am 23 years old and I am pretty much a newbie on this forum as said under my name, I have been in the Car audio industry for quite sometime and I love it even though it is very additive. On my spare time from work I love to test products from the car audio industry and recommend them to friends and family as well as write a full review on the forums of what I thought of the product.. I am also into doing some pretty decent installs and have been planning to do a full blown mach 5 system when testing is done.. Well sorry about my long post, but I thought I would share some of my background.. Justin
