Well everyone's title was "Hello", so I decided to do things a little different. Anyway I have a car, it has my second system in it. It is an old maxima and came with a Bose system. I thought it sounded great, until it crapped out and since it had 1-ohm speakers, it meant getting a head unit and new speakers too. That was maybe 2 years ago, so now I'm rolling in my ultra-budget system. It's more of an experiment always in progress. Newly converted to FIcarudio products by xconcepts from caraudio i am wondering what is the min power requirement for the SSD's i will be replacing a pair JL Audio 10w3v2's in a sealed enlosure of 0.65 which are both being powered by a JL Audio 500/1 , and being unfermiliar with the FIcarudio subs , i'm wondering will a pair of 10 "SSD's work properly being connected and boxed the same way ?? The Jl's were rated 300 W each , will the amp be sufficient for these two SSD's to perform properly ? Will also be adding a pair of 10 " 2 ohm BL's each connected individually to it's own Alpine PDX 1000.1 in a ported enclosure tuned at 32 , will add P chamfer , cooling , Flatwin…

whats up guys, i found this site from a google search for fi subs.. I'm looking for the best boom for my truck. I drive a 2002 GMC sierra single cab. I have an alpine 9813 head unit, MB Quart component speakers in the doors n b pillar and a 500 watt Orion amp. I had two 12 inch PBX subs in a sealed box powered by a sony Xplod 1000 watt amp. it bumped pretty nice but I didn't like that it couldn't really be heard outside of the truck so i sold it.. I listen to rap about 95% of the time so I like earth shaking bass that knocks pictures off the wall if I'm outside your house. I don't want to cut into the bed though.. Hi all, My name is Jack, and I'm 19 years old. I recently have been drawn back to the car audio scene. My old setup was a 180A alternator, two 12" Treo SSI with an old Mmats D200HC. I sold all this stuff back in 2008 and my alternator recently took a dump on me. It was a 180A alternator, and I sent it back and they quoted me $170 for the rebuild, or $270 to build it up to 200A. I don't know what to do, but more on this later as I'm rambling haha... I plan on running a new system, it will have three old 12" Punch HX2, all D4 ohms, so I'm looking at an amp that will do well at .75 ohms. Anyways...that's me! Glad to be here.

whats up fellas... names josh, i heard a truck up at a local hang out a couple hours ago and the shit was sick loud, two fi btl 18s in a colorado extended cab, NASTY. so i figured id dig around here and try and educate myself.... and im not a complete audio noob, i mean im no expert but as of now i got: 4 diamond audio d1 tens, downfire, sealed with a cube per sub diamond d3 1100.1 diamond d1 250.2 alpine type r 6.5 component set alpine ida-x001 head unit all stuffed in my 2008 dodge ram single cab on a 5/7 static drop with some 22s lookin to redo my audio this year and that damn colorado was just, loud.... anyhow nice to be here.

I have minimal hands on expereince due to lack of funds, however I have dedicated much of my time to research. I spend hours each day designing, reading, or watching videos on topics related to audio. I am working my way through the Loud Speaker Design Cookbook and have been through plenty of advanced math and physics courses. I live in Sacramento, CA, but went to college in San Luis Obispo, CA. I've been into car audio for a year and a half and i have alot of people fooled with what i do know for being into it for such a short period of time. for starters i drive a 2000 oldsmobile alero. for a deck i have a Pioneer Premier DEX-P1R, Some VR3's in the back deck... (you'll know why i went so cheap in a minute....). and a Memphis EQ50 in the dash. for the bass i have a 15" Pioneer Premier TS-W8102SPL in a crappy 2.75 cu.ft' box, (my 12th box but first 15") i redid the calculations and it's about 67 hz. lol. but regardless with the box falling apart and the car built the day before comp i hit a 139.1 at the dash (termpro) i've since built a new box thats 1.5" MDF …
