whats up guys, i found this site from a google search for fi subs.. I'm looking for the best boom for my truck. I drive a 2002 GMC sierra single cab. I have an alpine 9813 head unit, MB Quart component speakers in the doors n b pillar and a 500 watt Orion amp. I had two 12 inch PBX subs in a sealed box powered by a sony Xplod 1000 watt amp. it bumped pretty nice but I didn't like that it couldn't really be heard outside of the truck so i sold it.. I listen to rap about 95% of the time so I like earth shaking bass that knocks pictures off the wall if I'm outside your house. I don't want to cut into the bed though.. I wanted two 12's again but i was told not to have my hear…

Hi all, My name is Jack, and I'm 19 years old. I recently have been drawn back to the car audio scene. My old setup was a 180A alternator, two 12" Treo SSI with an old Mmats D200HC. I sold all this stuff back in 2008 and my alternator recently took a dump on me. It was a 180A alternator, and I sent it back and they quoted me $170 for the rebuild, or $270 to build it up to 200A. I don't know what to do, but more on this later as I'm rambling haha... I plan on running a new system, it will have three old 12" Punch HX2, all D4 ohms, so I'm looking at an amp that will do well at .75 ohms. Anyways...that's me! Glad to be here.

whats up fellas... names josh, i heard a truck up at a local hang out a couple hours ago and the shit was sick loud, two fi btl 18s in a colorado extended cab, NASTY. so i figured id dig around here and try and educate myself.... and im not a complete audio noob, i mean im no expert but as of now i got: 4 diamond audio d1 tens, downfire, sealed with a cube per sub diamond d3 1100.1 diamond d1 250.2 alpine type r 6.5 component set alpine ida-x001 head unit all stuffed in my 2008 dodge ram single cab on a 5/7 static drop with some 22s lookin to redo my audio this year and that damn colorado was just, loud.... anyhow nice to be here.

Hello all. Just checking in. I'm one of stratusrt01's buddies. Came over from ROE. My current setup is.... nada! Have a brand new Tiburon that myself and stratusrt01 will be filling with goodies when I get back from my deployment. Blank slate, deployment money, car is a hatch, possibilities are endless! Like the site setup btw. Very user friendly compared to some others.

I have minimal hands on expereince due to lack of funds, however I have dedicated much of my time to research. I've been into car audio for a year and a half and i have alot of people fooled with what i do know for being into it for such a short period of time. for starters i drive a 2000 oldsmobile alero. for a deck i have a Pioneer Premier DEX-P1R, Some VR3's in the back deck... (you'll know why i went so cheap in a minute....). and a Memphis EQ50 in the dash. for the bass i have a 15" Pioneer Premier TS-W8102SPL in a crappy 2.75 cu.ft' box, (my 12th box but first 15") i redid the calculations and it's about 67 hz. lol. but regardless with the box falling apart and the car built the day before comp i hit a 139.1 at the dash (termpro) i've since built a new box thats 1.5" MDF …

Hello all. Joining in from the Tulsa area. Vehicle is a 1987 Chevy truck with an in-work system consisting of Hybrid Audio speakers and Tru amplifiers. Just getting started competing this year, but I'm the SQ game. However I'm toying with the idea of doing a blow through setup later this year, so we'll see where that takes me. Other than the audio, the truck has an aluminum headed 383 that I built last year. HP is ~500. Also got the trans rebuilt and the rear end is scheduled to be rebuilt in July. After that, I'll be taking it to the track for some fun on occasion. I'm also hoping to get into Hot Rod magazine's Drag Week this year which begins and ends in Tulsa.

well, this is my first time on the site. i can honestly say, ive been searching for a good car audio forum and i finally found one. even though im young, ive been into car audio for a couple years now. im still trying to finish my audio install in my silverado. have 2 memphis mojo 10s, 2 tarantula trx1500ds, 2 memphis 8s for door panel subs. and a 600 soundstream capcell. all the audio will be in fiberglass enclosures. my 2 10s are in a custom fiberglass centerconsole that i built myself.

Hello guys, Looking to do my first semi big build consisting of focal expert 6.5 components up front, almani audio 6.5 rears for midbass, pioneer gm-d8604 amp, Sony xav-712hd DVD player, DC 5.0k amp running @ .5ohm, and a DD 9915 with super charge option although I'm not stuck on running the DD because I have two AA team 18s I could run...decisions! I'll be running a mechman 240a alternator, group 24 agm and 2 H8 agm Batts in the rear with 2 runs (or more?) of 2/0 front to back in my 2007 4runner. My question, how do I got about wiring the front batt to the rear, could I use a bus bar in the rear that ties the two positive terminals of the rear Batts togeth…

Hello all, just a quick post to introduce myself. I joined this forum to try and catch up on some technology, I have been out of the car audio scene since about 2002. I stopped messing with them shortly after quitting my job as an installer, which I did for about 1.5 years after going to Installer Institute in Florida. I got my MECP and all that fancy stuff, then was hired by the first shop I called. It was fun but I got burned out after about a year and have done other stuff since I quit.
