Just signed up for the forum so I figured I'd introduce myself. My name is Shaun and I compete in DB Drag in StreetMax 1-2. I have a 93 Caravan with two T3 Audio TSNS 18s, but I am currently looking for new amps. I am an installer and have been doing so for about 12 years now. Signed up as I'm setting up my '96 Bronco. Was in the mobile audio game in the 90's but have been out for a while. Working on collecting the equipment I don't yet have but need.

Hello. Found this place while doing research on my first sound quality type build. Lots of great info and ideas here. Always loved car audio, just finally got to the point in my mid 30's to want something that actually sounds nice rather than just goes loud and rattles your head lol. Hey guys just wanted to check in and let everyone know a little about me/my car i live in South GA, in Valdosta. Originally from Palm Beach FL. Been into car audio awhile, but just recently(6months-1year ago) got into it real seriously. I have a 69 Firebird and a 95 Caprice. Don't have a setup as of yet, just tryin to firgure out what I want.(leaning towards SoundSplinter/US Amps combo for subs/amps) Here is a pic of my car.

Do capacitors work? I've heard it just n old school thing, just a waste, etc . Hit me up, what do ya know ?

I'm new to your forum. Been on caraudio.com for a real long time with plenty of refs on there and on ebay. I also run a pair for 2 12" SSA Icons in a custom built box by BJ Fisher right now. But in all reality I'm trying to sell them.

Just checking in. I always visited this forum, and purchased things from the actual store but never signed up. I usually stick to floridaspl and occasionally SMD and ****, but just flipping thru I like thisuch better lol. Less trolls and negative critisasm ( I know, it is everywhere ) Name is Jason, I live in Jacksonville Fl. My current build is 8 ssa zcon 15's in a 2.5:1 4th order. 4 crescendo 5500's, 1 singer 400A alt ( externally regulated, and soon to be two). I am in the process of building an amp rack to fit 20 Xs power d1600's, and somehow try to figure out how the heck I can build a bracket to fit an additional alt.

Whats up guys, I am a member on my.is and someone recommended a SoundSplinter sub, went to their website, and found my way over here.. Great forum you have here.. Just can't decide if I want 1 10", 2 10", or 1 12" lol.. Just want clean bass since I listen to all sorts of music (rock/rap/sometimes even country) but I don't want king kong in my trunk.. 1 10" RL-i sufficient for my needs you think? With a sundown sax100.2 or a sae1000d if I go with 2 tens or a 12? Thanks in advance, Gary

Hey guys, not much of a computer person but I read a lot of threads here when I need info, so I figured it was time to join. I Hail from Madison, WI but moved to sw Kansas a couple years ago for work as an airplane mechanic. Car audio is a weekend hobby for me so my knowledge is fairly limited. Working on a sealed trunk build for my two Fi BL's as we speak. Have a few questions about amp/ headunit settings and adjustments so will be posting in the near future. I have been dicking around with car audio since the early 1980s... currently, I have a 1992 Vette with an Alpine 7998 hu, JL Audio 500/5 amp, Canton RS3 front stage, JL Audio 10W3V2, no rear fill. Some of you may know me from the www.corvetteforum.com, where I am the keeper of the C4 (1984-1996 Corvettes) Audio FAQ and the mod of audio stuff over at www.domesticmisfits.com (feels like I am writing a resume!).
