Newbie Bernard Here, I'm pretty green to this world. I do face a few challenges with my current tin can of a car (old Samurai) - VIBRATION and I mean from the road not the music/speakers. Is this common among jeep owners? This challenge and a few other things interest me and I look forward to learning from the board. Thanks! B

Hi, I'm a new member from Buckeye country aka OH...IO :-) I got re-involved in car audio once my son started driving a year ago. My last foray into car audio was back in the late 70s/early 80s so I have had to learn alot of new things. We have put an audio system in his 3000GT consisting of Pioneer 4900 hu, Rainbow coax in front, Polk 6x9 3 ways in rear (his choice as he wanted 'surround sound' but i tried to persuade him otherwise-)), and 2 12 type Rs currently in a sealed box. Going to build a ported box for them soon. Front/rear stage amp is Precision Power A1200/4, sub amp is Power Acoustik OV1-4000D, all wired via 1/0. I look forward to being a member here.

Been reading (lurking)for almost a year but searches dont answer EVERY question right! I love in houston and work in midland so needles to say my system takes a beating for about 7 hours strait! I am Slowly making the transtion from JL W7's and trying other things right now. Currently just trashed my first SSD 10" so im on the prowl! yall take care, -Marcus

Thought i'd sign up and drop by to introduce myself. From Tampa, FL. Use to work at Sensuous Sounds here in town and another small shop in town. Got two rides, 08 Raider and 98 Mustang. Soon getting two 10" DCON's for the Raider, maybe a set of 10" ICON's later on for the stang.

Hi This i what i'm working with: 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel Quad Cab Big 3 upgraded 2- 15" fi BL 2- kicker zx1000.1 3/4" MDF custom center console box with 5.6 cuft of airspace after sub disp, bracing, and port. Would love to have a bigger box, but space is LIMITED. No divider between subs/ subs share air space Single Slot Port is 15.5" x 3" and 14.75" long (around 32 hz?) Subs will be down firing and port will face up. Definitely SPL Questions: 1- Are the port dimensions correct for a 32 hz tune? I keep getting different measurements depending on the port calc I use. Made a post and didnt realize i havnt made a post after having my account for awhile lol. Anyways, 21 yr old stationed at fort drum, ny with 2 deployments. Driving a 2011 subaru impreza wrx sti, bad ass car btw. had bought my system while deployed and finally just now getting to it on installing it lol. anyways glad to be here and was recommended by a fellow member and brother in arms.
