Hey guys and girls Been a lurker here for quite a while so i decided to join up so i can participate in this great forum. I am more into home theater audio and am a member at AVS and HT Shack but i really love SPL and SQ car audio so i decided to join Anyway just wanted to say Gday to the members here

I have an 18" Avalanche that i bought about 1.5 yrs ago. Was wondering how much it would cost to get it reconed. Had it in a 13cu.ft box tuned to 30hz with 1200RMS and i loved it, but i assume it took all it could and is now making a scratching sound when i turn it up.

Well, I was a lurker, and light user before, but I think I will take a better look at SSA I' am from SMD, and I guess I'am tired of seeing the same faces with the same comments over there, so I'am here now I'am a big audio enthusiast, been installing mobile audio since 96'ish, did 4-5 years of speaker assembly, design, and prototyping. I currently do a lot of reconing, and speaker modifications

After a few year vacation I'm back. Since then the Explorer and the system are gone and now I have an 06 Altima. In the coming months I'll be trying to do something small like a single 10 or a 12. I miss anything good? haha.

Met Mark LaFountain last night while I was hanging out with bassahaulic in Baton Rouge. Was talking about how I wanted to put 4 15s in my truck and didn't know what brand or how I was going to go about doing it and he (of course) mentioned SSA. He mentioned wanting to see some "ZCONs" or something in there. Well . . . guess I'll check it out I'll be posting up a current build log shortly. well its been awhile since ive been in caraudio, i got in a wreck in a friends car couple months back and it set me back for awhile. now i just started working in caraudio once again with a new start being the only caraudio guy at linex of north texas its fun. just wanted to drop in and say hello again.

yeah i bought a used amp its the rockford T1001bd and it seems to have a short.. :''( any ideas were i can ship amp to, i stay in Arkansas oh and i gt the amp for 125$ is tht a good deal?

Hi guys please can you assist I have a Isuzu super cab with one 12 inch dvc sub. My bass sounds better with the doors open. What could cause this? How can I fix this. I have tried a slot port box and a ported box. Same result . What next ?

We've been lurking for a couple of years now , and since my son has some questions , i guess we should introduce ourselves . I'm Clay 47 yrs. old and my son is Josh 23 yrs.old . We are competing in MECA AS2 this year . We have a 1997 4 door Blazer with a MOJO 15 D2 being pushed by a Sundown SAE1200D . So far the big 3 is done in 1/0 , 2 batteries and pretty much stock from there . Highest score so far has been 144.9 on music , engine off per class rules . We would like to say thanks in advance for any help we ask for and thanks for a great site as well .

Jim from CA, been on here for somethime and was on longer, but for some reason had to re-register. Anyway, just saying hi and will be looking for some help and opinions on how to best hook up my stuff in the future. It will be going in a 1970 Chevy Blazer I'm sloowly but surely restoring and will be putting a system in it sometime down the road. So far, I have aquired speakers for it little by little and now will concentrate on looking how to configure them around the new Zed Audio amps, and figure out which ones to purchase as budget permits.

hi everyone im sort of new to this so still learning have a couple projects going on but my main one is having 3 skar vvx 8s in a 2000 integra. still havent got around to getting it installed as im still buying the components and still need to build a box. the 2nd project I got is small and simple just putting a single 12" dcon on my dads piece of shyt saturn lol this is the one im working on now and going to put it on my car meanwhile i get the other stuff going long story on why im doing this in this order but yea dont want to explain why. lol i guess thats it for now and talk to you guys around the forum.

Hey everyone, my name is Josh LaFountain (Mark LaFountains brother) from Baton Rouge, LA. I used to compete very heavily (Team S.P.E.A.D ) in USACi super stock and street beat. Spent about 4 years in the hobby then sold it all to help fund college. But now im getting back in bigger than ever! I used to have an ext. cab Ranger with a pair of Hifonics Goliaths, 5 batts, and 3 RE MT 15's. Spent 4 years doing nothing but burping 52Hz and tweaking every single moving part to get that extra dB. But now im fed up with that and wanna build a complete monstrous ground pounder. So I'm coming out to see Mark in phoenix soon and hopefully we can do an extreme makeover truck edition…
