Hi all. Another new guy here. Been lurking for a while and finally decided to introduce myself. I'm Dan from east central Kansas. I was into car audio in high school and for a few years after, but got out of it about 5 years ago. Somehow I came across ***** *****'s videos on Youtube and got bit by the bug once again. Looking to build a small system for a 2000 Dodge Dakota Ext. Cab since I've only got one payment left on it (yes!). Very intrigued by the non-mainstream brands that have come out since I've been out of the scene and I'm having a hell of a time deciding what to get. That's about it. I'm a pretty boring person. Dan

Just checking in. I always visited this forum, and purchased things from the actual store but never signed up. I usually stick to floridaspl and occasionally SMD and ****, but just flipping thru I like thisuch better lol. Less trolls and negative critisasm ( I know, it is everywhere ) Name is Jason, I live in Jacksonville Fl. My current build is 8 ssa zcon 15's in a 2.5:1 4th order. 4 crescendo 5500's, 1 singer 400A alt ( externally regulated, and soon to be two). I am in the process of building an amp rack to fit 20 Xs power d1600's, and somehow try to figure out how the heck I can build a bracket to fit an additional alt.

  7. Hey guys, I just signed on to the forum. I'm relatively new to the world of car audio. I own a '95 GMC Jimmy and have plenty of room in the back. But I'm going to college soon so I don' exactly have a lot of cash to spend on audio equipment. Luckily I found out about Sundown Audio on another forum I frequent. I hope to get one or two of the new SA-8 subs when they come out next month, or maybe on or two of the old E-8s. I'm also enrolled in a woods class at my high school so I was gonna make a few sub boxes as projects in that class. If anyone has any tips on building a vented box please PM me.

I'm new to this particular forum, I've been on caraudio.com and diyma for a while now, and I figured I may as well register here too! I drive a '96 S10 Blazer, and all I have in my vehicle now is two True Bass Solutions Ultra 8" subs in a 1.75 ft^3 enclosure tuned to 33 hz, and a Sundown SAE-1000D amplifier. I have an old school Zed-made US Acoustics USA-2075 2-channel and an old school Eclipse 3241 4-channel waiting to be used in a 3-way active setup, but I am undecided on the drivers I will use, so if you have any suggestions as to what 8" midbass, midrange, or tweeter are good, feel free to post them here or PM me. Thanks!

Hey, I wanted to post this in the shop section but couldn't, I'm wondering if the store will ship to Australia, I'm interested in 2 xcons, I've ordered woofers from the states before and I'm aware of the big postage costs.

  22. Started by DukeNut,

Hi, I'm a new member from Buckeye country aka OH...IO :-) I got re-involved in car audio once my son started driving a year ago. My last foray into car audio was back in the late 70s/early 80s so I have had to learn alot of new things. We have put an audio system in his 3000GT consisting of Pioneer 4900 hu, Rainbow coax in front, Polk 6x9 3 ways in rear (his choice as he wanted 'surround sound' but i tried to persuade him otherwise-)), and 2 12 type Rs currently in a sealed box. Going to build a ported box for them soon. Front/rear stage amp is Precision Power A1200/4, sub amp is Power Acoustik OV1-4000D, all wired via 1/0. I look forward to being a member here.
