Hey, I wanted to post this in the shop section but couldn't, I'm wondering if the store will ship to Australia, I'm interested in 2 xcons, I've ordered woofers from the states before and I'm aware of the big postage costs.

Good Evening from San Antonio TX. I am very lucky to have found this forum and appreciate the opportunity to share information and ideas from quite a bit of history in the 12 volt arena. My current project is a 2007 Tahoe; very stealth. I'm in the planning stages at present. I plan on utilizing the factory changer, and keeping the steering wheel controls and XM along with OnStar. So thats the plan. Now for the selection of equipment and execution of the install. I do have an EQL Audio Control in house so I guess you could say I've started <G>. Anyway, I appreciate the venue and look forward to the assistance and assisting. At 62 years of age, if it's too loud…

Hello everyone, newbie here. I am 25 and from IL. I have been in car audio since I was 16. My first set up was 2-10" kicker comps with a punch 40 and an eclipse deck, not sure the model now. I have been looking at the d2's as I have seen them at comps, so I thought I would join, since I have been reading the forum anyway. Roger. so another member.

Hi This i what i'm working with: 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel Quad Cab Big 3 upgraded 2- 15" fi BL 2- kicker zx1000.1 3/4" MDF custom center console box with 5.6 cuft of airspace after sub disp, bracing, and port. Would love to have a bigger box, but space is LIMITED. No divider between subs/ subs share air space Single Slot Port is 15.5" x 3" and 14.75" long (around 32 hz?) Subs will be down firing and port will face up. Definitely SPL Questions: 1- Are the port dimensions correct for a 32 hz tune? I keep getting different measurements depending on the port calc I use. I think carstereo.com is what I settled on. 2- With the port area only being 46.5 sq in instead of t…

hey all, obviously I'm new here. I recently started caring a lot more about my car audio and integration. I figured I'd join the forum since I just purchased a ssa sub for my car. I've always been more of a home audiophile, but i seem to be home less and less, but in my car more and more. I'm looking forward to learning more about it. -John

Hello all, just a quick post to introduce myself. I joined this forum to try and catch up on some technology, I have been out of the car audio scene since about 2002. I stopped messing with them shortly after quitting my job as an installer, which I did for about 1.5 years after going to Installer Institute in Florida. I got my MECP and all that fancy stuff, then was hired by the first shop I called. It was fun but I got burned out after about a year and have done other stuff since I quit. Some of you may know the shop, it is now called Ultimate Audio on OBT in Orlando (or was a couple years ago last time I was in FL). I finally have the drive to want some serious tunes i…

I was looking for advise. I think I may be interested in a RL-s 12 for my trunk, but reading the specs and recommendations it seems that it will not fit my needs. I want to put it in my 2005 TL without gobbeling up all my trunk space. Should I be leaning more towards a RL-p 12"? Would a RL-p get me good low bass that I'm looking for? Would 2 12" RL-p's do the Job of one RL-s 12" for the same trunk Space? Any recommendations on an AMP to push the 2 RL-p's? I currently have a RF 301s that ain't doing jack for me. If I went with the 2 12" RL-p's would a bandpass box do the trick? Thanks

  14. Yep...Santa did it this year: 2 x 18 Fi Bl -Dual 1, Cooling, Flatwind, Daily, Non-universal. Sundown Saz-3000d (thanks acex3a) 180max/135idle Iraggi alternator ~40' of 1/0 welding wire still need to get some 1/0 battery terminals and clamps for 1/0 big three and a new battery under the hood. dunno if I want to tackle the box this time around, might just have a shop do it. planning on doing ~15 cubes after displacement, and tuned to 32 or 33 hz. I know nothing about sound acoustics, and the effects of internal design. so plain jane rectangle is gonna have to jive for now.

Hi, I'm a new member from Buckeye country aka OH...IO :-) I got re-involved in car audio once my son started driving a year ago. My last foray into car audio was back in the late 70s/early 80s so I have had to learn alot of new things. We have put an audio system in his 3000GT consisting of Pioneer 4900 hu, Rainbow coax in front, Polk 6x9 3 ways in rear (his choice as he wanted 'surround sound' but i tried to persuade him otherwise-)), and 2 12 type Rs currently in a sealed box. Going to build a ported box for them soon. Front/rear stage amp is Precision Power A1200/4, sub amp is Power Acoustik OV1-4000D, all wired via 1/0. I look forward to being a member here.

Hey guys and gals. Just signed up so here is my official introduction. My names Mike, I'm a 36 year old family man and have been into audio since the late 80's. I got sucked into it by my much older brother who was an installer back in the 80's and early 90's and had a love for it way before I could drive. I got out of it all together for several years when I started a family and then dove back in a couple years a go when I started building up my 06 Sierra to go to shows. Looking forward to being part of your community here.
