Found this site looking for ideas for my 2013 f150 platinum. Currently running alpine mv 500 to two alpine bass 10". And alpine mv 500 four channel to front jbl gto component speakers. After reading the noobie warnings, I will be looking around trying to not get booted. As I have a lot to learn. So, I'll be lurking in the shadows.

yeah i bought a used amp its the rockford T1001bd and it seems to have a short.. :''( any ideas were i can ship amp to, i stay in Arkansas oh and i gt the amp for 125$ is tht a good deal?

been on some fiberglass forums and they dont like all wood boxes that much so i went looking and found this site after search for poundthat sound i love his boxes...what im looking for is i have always built sealed boxes and wanted to try my first kerfed port box ...i need the tips on how to tune it and just about everything i need to know about ported boxes thanks

Whats up guys? Found out about this forum through the Fi website, and its by far some of the most useful info on car audio on the net! I just recently received my BLs the other day and im really excited to get them hooked up to say the least lol. My old subs were CVXs so im sure these will be a bit louder but gotta upgrade the rest of the system before I load them. Anyway glad to join guys!

Hey ok people i need some help i just got my first audio set up in my life i was given 2 IA DR 12s and i have never heard of this audio so im so confused... so if anyone can please help me i need to build a box for 2 12s in the back of a eclipse hatch back and what kind of amp are amps should i run? should i face the subs towards the hatch are facing the back of the car.. and are the dr series any good ... i know nothing about any of this and so glad i found this forum so please please help me guys *** *** new and confused***

Looks like I have to make my first few posts here..... Long time CA.com member here, been sick of that site and it's lack of moderators so I'm making the jump to over here. This site seems to be managed substantially better with a more conducive environment for learning. I've been into audio since the early 2000s, been designing and building boxes for the past 10yrs or so. My area of expertise so to speak is with subwoofer enclosures so that's where I mostly hang out.

I've been all over the internet with this. I anyone here has a workable solution, then this forum is better than any of the other half dozen places I've contacted. I have a 2012 Nissan Sentra that has the factory installed radio/CD player. It does not have any USB ports for playing music. What it does have is an iPod port. Not a port that you plug an iPod into directly - rather a port (inside the console) that requires a cable to be plugged into it, with the iPod itself plugged into the other end of the cable. Just put a new Kenwood HD head unit in my car, 4 Rockford Fosgate 5 and 1/4 in the front and back with an Alpine MRV 300, and infinity tweeters. Hi guys, I am also a member of the SMD forum and decided I'd like to join this forum also. I drive a Buick Lesabre and run 1 Fi Q 12, powered by a CT Sounds AT1400.1. CT Sounds Meso 6.5" components powered by a CT Sounds 60.4. 1/0 Ga Execution Audio cables/wire, XS Power D3400 battery with stock 140 amp alt. Also use a Alpine HD149BT head unit. Fi Q lives in a ported box (Built by Sound Mekanix Customs) tuned 32-33hz. Just here to sit back relax and gain some knowledge. Thanks guys.

Hey guys this is my first post here, love the website. Anyways, i just purchased a 2007 GMC Sierra Classic reg. cab a few months back and the stock radio is driving me crazy! What im trying to achieve is a SQ oriented system, not necessarily competition quality but enjoyable SQ for all types of music from bass heavy rap to country to classic rock and everything else in between. I would like it to sound good at both low and high volumes and when needed/wanted a lil thump. Im trying to keep the install as stock looking as possible. So here’s what ive sketched up. new guy from hercules ca (east bay area) drive a 04 g35 sedan. currently have 2 fi ssd 10's being powered by a audiopipe apsm-1300. in about a week and a half i am getting a second 1 though so i can push 1000 wrms to each sub instead of only 300 which it is currently at. they are in a 3 cuft ported box tuned to 33. looks like a pretty awesome forum so far just from searchin around. hopefully i can find a lot of useful info.

I was x10 more helpful then most of the people on that site and took time with the noobs and all but domaindiva the mod had it out for me. This is my first post on the board. Just saying hello. I am the proud new owner of a ZCON 15 as well as several other products purchased through SSA. I am 49 years old and have been fooling with this stuff for over 30 years as an amateur. I recently built my best system yet. I'm not totally a noob, but I'm no expert either. I look forward to discussing and learning about car audio.
