Just wanted to say hey and my name is Billy and I have a 1973 vw beetle that I have about 15,000$ into and now its time to do some car audio im determin to make it the loudest car in my area.

Saw your forum after passing by many on the web. I did post my other info in the "How I found SSA thread"> I'll be lookig to learn more about car audio in general and also looking for feedback on products I'm considering that some of you may have experience with. I currently have a '01 Yukon Denali that I added 2 JL Audio 12w3v2 D4 being pushed by an MA Audio HK898. I know it's not phenomenal, but my car was stolen once and I hate people getting my stuff for free. What I'm doing now(and want to do it right..) Is a 72 Cutlass. I'm strting with components and may add a sub later. If I do subs I was wondering what size? I know the base response would be different than wha…

I just signed up for this site today while I was doing some research on some sundown amps and I saw a forum link on their site. I've been interested in car audio since I was a teenager but haven't really gotten into it until about a year and half ago. Hows it going everyone? New to the forums. I came here from caraudio.com I saw this forum from one of the guys there and thought I would check it out. Hoping to learn a thing or two. I overseas right now serving in the army in germany. I like it here but wish i was back home. I have some audio equipment for my 97' Chevy S-10 4 sundown E8's, alpine deck, sundown saz-1200D amp and a hifonics amp. Pretty much just sitting in my closet at home due to the army, but im wanting some audio stuff for my 00' toyota camry. Kinda torn between do many options. Hey, I'm an old retired dB Dragger that followed Nick Wright and the Incriminator Audio guys over here. I have been away from car audio for a few years now and was doing some research for a friend that wants me to do his install. Glad I found this place...what better company than a bunch of people that think just like me! I like the forums appearance and so far have seen alot of helpful information being exchanged. New to the forums and back into researching car audio. Happy Black Friday everyone hope y'all save some good money, I know I did. Just purchased a loaded Fi Q 12. Had to start researching about subs again because my old sub finally died. Was an Audiobahn AWT12X tuned to 30hz. Bought in 2001, finally died in 2011 earlier this year. Bought a few subs after that but just wasn't happy with any of them the way I was with the AWT12X, it was a monster sub that lasted a looooooong time and definitely got my $'s worth. i have 1 15 inch ascendant audio havoc....it dosent have much play on it.the basket is broke on it and it seems to be over heating.i hit a 143.1 on a term lab though ,even broke..the question is ....a friend of mine just offer me 300$ cash for it even though it is broke.if i do sell 300$ is all i have to spend on a new sub....should i sell...recone and get the basket fixed?if i do sell i was looking at a ssa icon 18 or 15 ....same rms but will it be just as loud or louder......any suggestions for subs ....they are going into a trunk of a grand prix....just scared that its going to pop due to the basket being broke and it over heating.

I'm new to this forum and thought I would introduce myself. I just got my skar audio VVX 8 and it's nice. i plan on running 3 VVX 8's @2 ohms on 1000 RMS. tuned to 33 Htz. i plan on having this build done within the next few months. im on realmofexcurtion aswell

Hello everyone, I'm new to this Forum. I've been on CA.COM for many years and am finally branching out. I live in SouthWest Indiana, have only one vehicle with a system installed as of right now. I built and installed everything in my 1998 Chevy Venture which has a Pioneer HU and Hifonics amps, Atlas components and Brutus subwoofers installed in it with the BIG 3, 250A HO alternator, RaamMat sound deadening, Optima battery and 1/0 wiring to the amp board. I'm hoping to be upgrading soon to an Eclipse HU, Morel Tempo components, FI Q subs, and Cadence TXA Amps.

Hello Everyone, Been Building a small home theater system, (well it started off small) and decided I needed more low end, seen the RL-p15 and fell in love with it, will be adding that to my set-up very soon. Thanks for the welcome!
