New to this forum but been around for a while on others and in the audio hobby for 15 years . Look forward to the info !

I just found this forum. Been back in car audio for two yrs and really gotten serious about it over the winter. I built a wall which I am still experimenting with. 3 18" sealed ~20cu. on 1500 watts. 145.9 on tl w/drivers door open. I've had a lot of fun making vids for my YT channel (same name) I run some old school gear the sq cats used in the nineties you can see in my sig. It has been fun to re-purpose them for a low power ""SQL"" build. The car isn't finished yet and I think the wall will be rebuilt this fall for 6 18" sealed in a vertical clamshell. I post a lot of pictures and videos and update my YT all the time. My next project is to add a pair …

New here. Drive an Eddie Bauer Explorer. I ordered the 12" Icon and Sundown 1000 combo on Monday. Can't wait to get it in. It said 3 day ground so I guess Ill get it tomorrow or Friday at the latest. Didnt get a tracking number so not quite sure. Im not worried about it though. Im assuming that ICON12D2 means Icon 12" dual 2 ohm so I can run it at 1ohm right? Couldnt imagine them selling the 1 ohm DVC with the amp. Anyways, thanks for the forum and the products. I'll be sure to make a build log when I order my wire and start on the box.

Hey all! I'm glad to be apart of this forum! I am looking to get a new sub woofer. I had a 15" Kicker L5 that died on me. I am looking at the Fi Q but wanted a little advice first. I am looking for a good SQ sub and I ahve heard that the Fi Q is a good one. It will be powered by ZX750.1 which from what I read is a little underrated. The fact that it fried my L5 which is rated at 750w RMS also leads me to believe either the sub was over rated or the amp is under rated. The amp is hooked straight to the battery via a Rockford Fosgate 4 gauge kit. I currently have a cheap auto-zone battery but I will be upgrading to an Optima Yellow top soon. I’ve been here but inactive for some time now getting back into the stereo scene. Last system was 4 alpine type r 12s 2 rf prime 1200.1d Amps 2 offbrand agm 74ah batteries along with a optima red top in my old srt8 charger. Now I have a second gen Durango and no longer am concerned with weight reduction I’m trying to put a small but good setup in and am leaning towards the Skar rp 1200.1 d due to the fact I was considering the rp1500.1d but it falls short on the dyno where the 1200.1d really shines and does well over rated power. Subs are undecided as of now was thinking power Acoustik gothic 12s massive audio gtx 12s or just going all Skar with either sdr’s Or svr’s.

Well, I've been reading stuff over here for the last few months but never got around to getting involved. Well, now that's changed. I am familiar with a few of the folks on here from FSC and found this site to have a lot more info than I could ever use. I wish I had the time to take it all in. Anyways, I am from Atlanta, born raised and I'll die here. Live in the shadow of the world's largest relief carving staring every morning at Davis, Lee, and Jackson. Man, they sure look grey. Hope to enjoy it here and learn a lot from you folks. Ya'll don't hesitate to ask me anything.

Yeah I just recently got registered and see that there is a wealth of knowledge to be had and can be very useful in picking/designing a sub etc. This is not the first site I registered at, of course. =P Many before.

Hi all. I just purchased a 2010 Dodge Ram crew cab laramie and am looking to outfit it with a nice SQ oriented sound system. My first truck was an old 97 f150 single cab with a full memphis setup. My second truck was an 07 sport trac with CDT es-62i components and a jl8w3 ported sub. I am not a total newb when it comes to car audio but at the same time there is always room to learn more and that is what I plan on doing as I ask questions about what I should run in this setup. This site looks very promising.

What's good everyone just stopping by here to say hey to the board & introduce myself. I'll admit that i'm really armature with the whole topic of systems but i've joined the board to watch & learn and one day become as knowledgeable as some of you are. I've always loved loud music but never really took systems seriously until now. I just bought a car this past week, a '94 Ford Probe, and the first thing on my to do list is get some boom in there!
