hi ssa im eric i have a 01 ford f150 supercab i want to get a 10" fi ssd or a 12" with a ported box not sure yet....i havent measured my back seat yet.... anyone know of some good cheap/reliable amps to power it im going to get flatwind coil and bp on whichever one too..... thanks

This is my first post on SSA. Apparently I registered a long time ago, but never posted here. I actually never heard of the website until I purchased an ICON about 2wks ago. I'm a newbie to this forum... I'm on diy and ca.com with the same name. I'm in the market for some new subs and I've been hearing so much about Fi Audio that I had to stop by and see what it was all about. I currently have some brand new IDQ V2's that I was planning on using but now I see the X's going for 1/2 of what I paid for the IDQ's... how do you guys think these compare?

I'm on CAF by the same name, it's gone screwy so I've popped over here. That's basically it...is there a protocol for this site like you have to be here for x amount of days before you can offer advice or weird stuff like that? My "system" if you can call it that, right now is two SSD's in a ported box off a hifonics bxi 1606d with type r comps of a PG 250.2. Within the month is going to completely change to a 10" BL off a cadence txa1000d, phoenix gold ti6's or if I can get the fundage Focal k2ps, off a cadence txa 3002. Fully deadened doors, amp racks and everything...I'll keep ya'll posted.

just wanted to introduce myself somewhat to everyone on this forum. i'd normally be on CSO but since that is down i needed a new place to lurk and well it seems like this would be a good place. a few members here i recognize and most i don't. i'm not a big poster so i usualy only post on things i feel i could try to help people with and what not. yeah so well back to my lurking!

I would say i have some bit of knowledge on car audio, ive installed 2 systems (my old car and one of my friends' car). my last car was a an old 93 nissan sentra with a pioneer premier hu (680mp i think?) with some infinity components and a 12" infinity dvq sealed. I've sold that about a ~ 1yr ago and ive been running stock in a 03 Ford Escape since. I usually come on this forum and CA.com every other day just for some reading and to gather knowledge. Hey everyone! My name is Robert. I've been in car audio for awhile now. I'm actually in the process of building a new box for my RE SE 15 and i'm gonna see what kind of numbers i can get out of it. I've been using this woofer for sound quality with a kick in a 2.4cuft sealed box with 500w. I'm about to build a 4cuft box tuned to somwhere from 38hz - 40hz not sure yet. Oh and this is all gonna be in a Chevy s10 ext. cab.
