New guy here and soon to be customer. Can't seem to leave well enough alone so I've been looking in to ditching my IDQ sub and going with the SSA Icon. I have a '12 Mustang GT and am running a single 12" sub. Anyways, just a quick intro and looking forward to browsing the forums. Thanks

Hey guys, Am new to the forum but not new to car audio, found out about this site off of fellow MEA members in aus. Mainly joined up to expand my knowledge and share ideas (and also because of the group buy on ZED amps ) Cheers

Hey I just signed up since I just bought a 12" Q yesterday. I look forward to getting it in and seeing how it sounds in my blazer. I usually am more of a lurker but still occasionally post up with questions and answers. Nice site you have here.

Hello, i found your web site while looking for some info on Fi subs and found more than I ever wanted. But anyway I have been into car audio since before I could drive and I seems that this addiction will not go away anytime soon, its going on 8 years now since I first intalled a pair of tens in my firebird. haha But I am accually about to take my exam for my MECP cert. and plan on working the rest of my way through college doing this or may be turning this into a career. I have enjoyed reading some of the posted topics and have learned a lot from you guys already.

hey sup guys and gals. Just wanted to drop in and join your forums and hope for a good community feedback and learn a few things. Im an audio enthusiast, but have been out of it for the last 5 years... (no car) I've been out of the loop with what good sound quality is as well as new developed subwoofer. So I recently bought an is300 and trying to work on buying pieces to fit the car sound system. So far, on hand i have is the Cadence iA4 for my components. Im still shopping around but not in a rush to get everything at once. So, for now, I'll stick around and learn of a few new things to come

Hello all. Just checking in. I'm one of stratusrt01's buddies. Came over from ROE. My current setup is.... nada! Have a brand new Tiburon that myself and stratusrt01 will be filling with goodies when I get back from my deployment. Blank slate, deployment money, car is a hatch, possibilities are endless! Like the site setup btw. Very user friendly compared to some others.

What's up everyone?? My name is Dan not dave.. don't be confused by the member name or email.. Just thought I'd come over here and check the place out... didn't really come from anywhere... saw the link in a sig on sd.com but I don't really post there.. lol.. I'm a CNC pogrammer but have been tinkering with cars for years.. pretty good with wiring.. built a jeep from the frame up and re-wired the hole thing, as well as installed SEC-8063 alarm, remote starter, wired fuel injection system for a 350ci and complete MSD ignition into jeep wiring harness...headlight flashers, converted positive switched headlights to negative switched via relays for the headlight flashers. Looking to run a pair of 18's in my Burb eventually. Never built a ported box- but I've been reading on here and studying install how to's on youtube- i know it sounds lame- but they have helped. I downloaded sketch up and this is only my 2nd design, so be gentle.LOL Designed for my 01 Suburban- it is my creek/river vehicle- so the indent is for my ice chest. Used http://www.mobileinformationlabs.com/HowTo-1Woofer-Box-CAL%20Port%20lenth%201.htm to calculate the port. 11.3 cubes after displacements 140 sq in port (~12.5in/cube) tuned to 34 Still have some supports to add, and the front flap will be potential amp rack area. The subs face forward 1) to protect the s…

Demin asked that I drop in and check out the boards. My name is Pete and live in Maryland. I own a 97 Ford Explorer XLT w/ 121k and a 2000 Ford Contour SVT that's getting a new engine w/ 5,800 on the clock. I love working on my car to get a good blend of performance, appearance and audio. I do almost all my own work - just pulled the 2.5 engine out and dropping in a 3.0. I should be handing many a car their asses once it's done. I wont bore you with all the details but here are a few for my SVT: Silver Frost Midnight Blue leather interior process of dropping in a 3 liter engine SPEC stage 1 clutch SPEC flywheel Torsen LSD BAER brakes SHM long tube headers Bassani cat-…

Hello everyone I read the forum topics and said all newbies have to post in here so here I am. I am on a mission to do a SQ type install in my Trans Am and have been following lots of links to this site and wanted to read more than the opening post I have an Eclipse 7200MKII head unit, this weekend I will be installing a set of Pioneer 720PRS components running active, just made a purchase for 2 FI Q12s D2 subs. My amp currently is a Memphis Belle 16st1300d 5 ch. I will be asking some questions, mainly regarding the subs, box, and amp. So, please be patient if they are seemingly newbie idiot questions. Jman
