I'm a newbie to this forum... I'm on diy and ca.com with the same name. I'm in the market for some new subs and I've been hearing so much about Fi Audio that I had to stop by and see what it was all about. I currently have some brand new IDQ V2's that I was planning on using but now I see the X's going for 1/2 of what I paid for the IDQ's... how do you guys think these compare?

I'm on CAF by the same name, it's gone screwy so I've popped over here. That's basically it...is there a protocol for this site like you have to be here for x amount of days before you can offer advice or weird stuff like that? My "system" if you can call it that, right now is two SSD's in a ported box off a hifonics bxi 1606d with type r comps of a PG 250.2. Within the month is going to completely change to a 10" BL off a cadence txa1000d, phoenix gold ti6's or if I can get the fundage Focal k2ps, off a cadence txa 3002. Fully deadened doors, amp racks and everything...I'll keep ya'll posted.

Hey everyone! My name is Robert. I've been in car audio for awhile now. I'm actually in the process of building a new box for my RE SE 15 and i'm gonna see what kind of numbers i can get out of it. I've been using this woofer for sound quality with a kick in a 2.4cuft sealed box with 500w. I'm about to build a 4cuft box tuned to somwhere from 38hz - 40hz not sure yet. Oh and this is all gonna be in a Chevy s10 ext. cab.

I am from Minnesota and in January moving to Phoenix area to go to school at MMI. I have a 10 type r at the moment and the icon 10 i on its way to me as we speak. It is going into an 02 Trans Am WS6. I have a rockford p500.2 powering my alpin typ r componnt set and a rockford p1000bd powering the type r 10. I have a new box on its way to me also, it is 1.25ft^3 with dual ports. I was out of car stereo for a while but got the itch again, so I am trying stuff in my car. I just want a reasonable SQ system that shakes a little, nothing wild and certainly not expensive. I used to install the stuff a real long time ago and after a while I got to swapping cars so much I got lazy and stopped putting systems in....then had a job with a vehicle I could only put a cheap tube sub in. Sup everyone, I'm a SPL lover from Hawaii. Though I don't have lots of knowledge about car audio, I've got a pretty decent stereo in my room, equipped with the Dayton 15" 1000W sub, with an old 2 ch. Harman Kardon amp. The amp is pretty old, and it doesn't even have provisions for a sub. A car audio Speaker-> Line Level convertor was thrown in there somewhere. Whats up y'all? I found this site in my search for info. on Fi subs. I liked what I saw as far as people helping out more than on other forums. I'm putting together a 1998 Nissan Maxima. Planning on doing a SQ(L) set-up. Only thing I have bought so far is a set of CDT HD-62/M6 components, but I'm not in any rush since my car should be in the body shop for a couple more months.
