hello just wanted to join such a good forum for enthusiasts and pros alike. I have been installing for about five years now and currently working on my mecp master certification. a friend (erotomania) and coworker shot me over to this forum after we had a dispute over a box design. and I was surprised and excited at the amount of experience and talent here after hearing about this ite for so long and not actually visiting.(I now owe him $5) and would like to contribute any way i can. see y'all later. I dont know much about the technical side of car audio.... i am a wood worker so i love making sub boxes and basic installs and i look forward to learning more here is the most recent box i made, for my jeep cherokee here it is before the grill after the grill, made it out of 3/16 steel very durable. it does resonate with certain freqencies though

I am currently running 2 12" DB Audio 12s (D4) and a DB audio amp (pushes about 500watts per speaker @ 1ohm) in a 2004 NBS Ford F-150. Trolled for a while, but I'm active on a few other boards. I've been doing 12v work for a while now, but I'm just now starting to pique an interest in car audio. Looking to put in a street system in my SHO. Plans thus far, are a Hypnotic 75x4 powering some Pioneer REV-series decks and doors. HU is a Pioneer DEH-P4700MP, for now. Looking into double DINs. For a sub, probably a Mach5 10", on an undecided amp. Not looking to get too loud, but loud enough for me. I may not build a competition system, but I'm a learner. I'll take whatever knowledge I can get, need it or not.

Hey folks. I'm here to learn more about car audio. I've got a 2006 MINI Cooper S that has a piss poor OEM system and a lot of road noise. I've decided I will do sound deadening and audio system improvement. I have a handle on what I am going to do for the deadening, but the audio part is a maze right now. An item that would help me immediately is recommendations for shops to listen to speakers in the Southern California area. Thanks for your help. Paul
