Sean (///M5) pointed me over here from fullsizechevy.com. I keep coming back here just to see his sig! Just some background info if anyone is interested... I've got a '99 Tahoe (4-door 4wd) and a '96 2wd Chevy reg cab pickup. I'm planning on drops for both and new "systems" for both. I've gotten into the DIY lines of speakers, and have became a Parts Express junkie. I'm a computer programmer by profession, and have an actual cabinet shop in my front yard, so I piddle around there most nights, making MDF rings and all types of other "things" for cars, boats, and trucks... Nothing major, but just a hobby. The Tahoe should hopefully be getting a computer installed this…

Alrighty How goes it everyone! If anyone is from ROE here you know me. Im Jon and Im one of the moderators from realmofexcursion. Lets see. I've been in the car audio game for around 4 years or so now. Had a few setups so far one consisting of 6 kicker 12's another was 4 12" sidewinders (i know i know :? ) and a couple single 10/12" subs setups. I recently went to Mobile Technical Training install school in New Jersey. That was back in February and I got my Basic MECP Installtion certificate. I worked at circuit city for abit until they did there round of lay offs. I am currently being looked at to work at Mercedes Benz in the Port Of Baltimore where i will be installing …

Whats up guys, I am a member on my.is and someone recommended a SoundSplinter sub, went to their website, and found my way over here.. Great forum you have here.. Just can't decide if I want 1 10", 2 10", or 1 12" lol.. Just want clean bass since I listen to all sorts of music (rock/rap/sometimes even country) but I don't want king kong in my trunk.. 1 10" RL-i sufficient for my needs you think? With a sundown sax100.2 or a sae1000d if I go with 2 tens or a 12? Thanks in advance, Gary

Good Evening from San Antonio TX. I am very lucky to have found this forum and appreciate the opportunity to share information and ideas from quite a bit of history in the 12 volt arena. My current project is a 2007 Tahoe; very stealth. I'm in the planning stages at present. I plan on utilizing the factory changer, and keeping the steering wheel controls and XM along with OnStar. So thats the plan. Now for the selection of equipment and execution of the install. I do have an EQL Audio Control in house so I guess you could say I've started <G>. Anyway, I appreciate the venue and look forward to the assistance and assisting. At 62 years of age, if it's too loud…

Hi everybody! Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm from Quebec, Canada and I'm now the owner of a new MAW-15 subwoofer and I've got a couple of Q's for you! So thinking I can use this page for those...I'll post my principal question here...which is what would be a good budget amp to power this sub, keeping in mind that I might add another one later? I was thinking about a Hifonics BXi 1206D. Does it makes sense at all? And how much wRMS this subwoofer can take? I know it is rated at 500w, but will it handles something like 750w/RMS daily? Thanks for your inputs guys!
