Hey everyone I'm Michael and just ran across this forum/store looking at a couple sa-15s. Looked around for a while and have seen some great builds and a lot of info so thought I would check in and introduce myself. I've been into car audio for about 13 years but have just lately wanted to start building my own setups instead of buying crap from Craigslist. As of now I have a quantum audio cosmik 15 in my first built ported box that ended up being about 6 cubic feet and tuned to 35. Didn't realize it would be such a giant when building it lol. But it sounds good and I'm going to be starting a new bigger build with in the month and can't wait to show everyone and get some …

I’m Patrick in Charleston SC. New to forum and happy to be a part of and contribute. I’m old school by nature (class of ‘99 HS) and recently bought my stepson his first ride (2012 Grand Cherokee Laredo) and have been upgrading his stereo together recently for fun. Look forward to contributing as much as possible.

Hello, I've been reading on here for the last few days and thought I should go ahead a register. I'm getting back into car audio after a few years away so I'm kinda a newbie to that again to I guess. I haven't really paid attention to the industry the past few years. I'm still trying to figure out what amp and subs I want to put into my 98 civic hatch.

I figured i would start one of these since i'm a n00b to this forum. I've been into car audio since my teenage years, and I know my way around installing the basics, and have even built a few slot port boxes. But, i joined this forum in hopes of learning more. There is a wealth of information on this forum, and i am trying to soak up as much of it as I can in my old age (ok, maybe i'm not that old). LOL.

Hi I'm frasierraheen, I use to come on these forum use to look at build logs to step my game up. I 've been doing the car audio thing since 96 when I was like 13. I learn about car audio in the kuntry where we used extension cords for power wires and house stereos for subs. I know that crazy, but I got out that. I 'm in the army so I’m all over the place so my location may change a bit so don't write me off as a scamer. My ride is a 91 accord wagon 5-spd, with a h23 blue top vtec. My music was 2 Ma audio hard core hk-4000ds, 4 kinetic 2600, 2 massive audio 400.4, 2 audiobahns component sets , 4 soundstream 6x9's, 100 ft Fatmat, pioneer premier 760 , and 1 Atomic AP…

Well, as the topic says. I am new to the forum but not to the life style of car audio and the addiction. I hope to be of contribution to the forums and will help out to any advice, question, or problem at hand. As long as its within my knowledge. I dont know everything about car audio and I never portray that i do. If i know something I will post it, if I dont, then ill direct that person to someone who might be able to help. I've been around car audio for a little over 8 years, seriously competing for the last 3 years, holding 1 IL State record in MECA last year in 2003. Class was Amature Stock 3 with the score of 149.6db with 1200 RMS watts and a single 15" Digital Ded…

I have 2 sony xplod 10 inch 1200w SVC(330w RMS, 4ohms) subs in a sealed boxed with a sony xplod 1000w 2 ch amp. Specs on the amp Model Number: Xm-1652z 165w rms x 2 @ 4 ohms 200w rms x 2 @ 2 ohms 400w rms x 1 @ 4 ohms OK so i have the subs hooked up to the terminals on the box normally (+ to +, - to -) but i bridged it to the amp. Now my question is since i put both the postive wires from each sub directly into the bridge (BTL +) postive on the amp and the same with the negatives, would that be series or parallel? And would it be 2 ohms or 8 ohms, I know it should be 8 ohms on a 2 channel amp thats not 2 ohm stable bridgeable with 2 4 ohm subs and if it is 2 ohms h…

How *NOT* To Be a Newbie Computers Culture Internet Stupidity By Lilith DemHareIs Every day thousands of people join the great cosmic force known as the Internet. And many of these people like to go around with big red neon signs screaming NEWBIE!!" (Blinking signs, at that.) The sad part is that they don't know they are wearing these glaring pointers. Very few people are willing to help these poor souls. If you are new to the Net, here are a few tips to toss off that neon sign. First of all, don't go around announcing that you are a newbie. This will be apparent without your drawing attention to the fact. Many people will post to a newsgroup, or a maillist or so, say…
