This is my first post on the board. Just saying hello. I am the proud new owner of a ZCON 15 as well as several other products purchased through SSA. I am 49 years old and have been fooling with this stuff for over 30 years as an amateur. I recently built my best system yet. I'm not totally a noob, but I'm no expert either. I look forward to discussing and learning about car audio.

new guy from hercules ca (east bay area) drive a 04 g35 sedan. currently have 2 fi ssd 10's being powered by a audiopipe apsm-1300. in about a week and a half i am getting a second 1 though so i can push 1000 wrms to each sub instead of only 300 which it is currently at. they are in a 3 cuft ported box tuned to 33. looks like a pretty awesome forum so far just from searchin around. hopefully i can find a lot of useful info.

Well i WAS adirevolvo at sounddomain with over 1300 posts but then I got banned for no reason, and got no waring. I was x10 more helpful then most of the people on that site and took time with the noobs and all but domaindiva the mod had it out for me. CRESCENDO AUDIO BC5500D back panel vibrating noise its really starting to bug me is there any fix?

Just got 2 team 18's(dual 2's) and plan on putting either 2 bc5500's or one 'merica 12k on them for power. I want to do a flat wall but need a little help on what size box to use, i.e. cubic feet per sub, sq in per cube for port, aero or slot, and tuning frequency. Thanks in advance for the help! Oh and space is no issue as it's going in an Astro.

Hey everyone... been into car stereos since i was about 17, am now 22, be 23 in april. worked at the circuit city roadshop when i was 18, learned how to do the basic installs and alarms. never got into custom stuff, but have done fairly large system installs in my day. I drive a 1996 Toyota Tacoma 2wd regular cab automatic, I have done everything myself, notched the frame, raised the gas tank, lowered, welded the roll pan, tailgate handle, antenna, hood squirters, put a 2004 front clip on(core support, everything), painted the truck myself also, it was my first time doing all of this. Hi guys i have all sorts of problems,1st where to start. my OHIO alternator does lousy at keeping the charge to my 4 xs 2700s, i have 2 runs of 0 gauge from the front battery to the back, 2 grnd and 2 positives, big 3 in 0 gauge,my amp will play about 5 min then shut off, then play 1 min and shut off and so on downhill. back when i had 2 orion 15s amp never shut off, same set up diff subs. now that i got 2 18 SMDs i think they are too hungry for power the amp is 9000w rms 13.8 volts. alternator is 14.0 when cold 13.4 warm then music goes and so does the voltage12.8 max. someone said to get a smaller pulley OHIO sent me one with 6 grooves mine is 8, DC power makes a dual …

I decided to post my follow up thougts in a seperate thread about the Icon 12 I have now. Initially I had decided to install the sub in my commuter car and old honda accord. I have always had response issues with this car with some cancellation in the 60-80hz range. Being unhappy with how the icon sounded in this car I decided to go a different route. I decided to put a system in my Ram3500 truck. I bought a set of Alpine type r 6.5 components an Arc audio xdi 450 amp and used a pioneer double din that I already had. I drive a nissan titan and am currently running a sundown e10v2 off a PPI BK1800.1D(I know overkill. lol) and sky high audio wiring. I plan to upgrade to an SSA Xcon 12" here very soon. Hello, before i begin my article I wanted to list out all the specs, measurements of everything i wanted to put in this car. To tell you I'm only 16 and i'll be getting my drivers licence soon and I wanted to put a system in right when i get this car. Electrical specs: I would be having everything from battery to alternator that was already put there during the manufactor process. So 1 200-300 volt hour battery with a regular stock alternator.
