Just wanna say HI. My name is blaine and i've been coming here often, so finally decided to join. N i'm from Hawaii n I've seen some Hawaii boys in the Fi forum...

so here is how i found this site. being from charlotte nc i knew about sundown and SI. i blew up my kicker kx1200.1 yesterday and not wanting that nasty sloppy power it was giving out decided to get a sundown 1000d. i picked it up about an hour and a half ago plus some 0ga wire. i have to say it isnt as powerful as the kicker but the soud difference is night and day. the kicker was very sloppy and had a very uncontrolled sound to it, if that makes any sense. the sundown has surprised me in clarity and the output is plenty for my 2 type r 12's. now its just time to rebuild my box because its put together like crap, and sounds like it to.

I was out of car stereo for a while but got the itch again, so I am trying stuff in my car. I just want a reasonable SQ system that shakes a little, nothing wild and certainly not expensive. I used to install the stuff a real long time ago and after a while I got to swapping cars so much I got lazy and stopped putting systems in....then had a job with a vehicle I could only put a cheap tube sub in. Now I need room so I am limited, I am going old school and putting 4 12" subs in the back seat IB and taking out the current sealed single 12 box. I have some comps in front that I scarfed off ebay along with the subs and a couple amps I had around. When I get the subs installe…

Newly converted to FIcarudio products by xconcepts from caraudio i am wondering what is the min power requirement for the SSD's i will be replacing a pair JL Audio 10w3v2's in a sealed enlosure of 0.65 which are both being powered by a JL Audio 500/1 , and being unfermiliar with the FIcarudio subs , i'm wondering will a pair of 10 "SSD's work properly being connected and boxed the same way ?? The Jl's were rated 300 W each , will the amp be sufficient for these two SSD's to perform properly ? Will also be adding a pair of 10 " 2 ohm BL's each connected individually to it's own Alpine PDX 1000.1 in a ported enclosure tuned at 32 , will add P chamfer , cooling , Flatwin…

Just wanted to say hi to all. I just pulled the trigger on a refurb saz1500 on ebay for 400. Been looking at the amp for over a year now( I take a long time to make money decisions!). It will replace my audiobahn a3201t running at 840 rms @4 ohms. Actually a very good amp, it pushed my 4 sealed mtx thunder 5500 10's to 140.7. I'll be moving th AB to my front stage, and freeing up my 6 channel for other duties .

Getting back into car audio after a lengthy absence. The only thing I remember about my last stereo (15+ years ago) was the MB Quart components. I've since become a computer nerd, but I think I still have the chops to put together a modest system for my 2002 Toyota 4Runner. P.S. Oh yeah, and saying hi from Westminster, MD.
