Hey guys I just joined here but have been a member of another audio forum for a few years. My current set up I have in my expedition is a pioneer f900 head unit, inifinity kappa components in the front doors and kappa 6x9's in the back powered by a alpine 400.4 amp. Right now I have a 12" mach 5 audio ixl powered by a total mobile audio 1000.1. Pretty happy with that set up but have always wanted a big sub so I ordered a 15" FI Bl and just got it today. I get my expedition back tomorrow and then am going to install it. I built a 3.5 cu.ft box that is tuned to 32hz. I've been into car audio since way back but not so much hardcore for the past 15 years. Now with my son driving it's just a little too much fun getting his car bumpin a bit. I am not a mass poster and came here because a couple other forums I've checked out seem to be more about drama than the jam. It looks clean here...I like that.

Just wanted to say hi to all. I just pulled the trigger on a refurb saz1500 on ebay for 400. Been looking at the amp for over a year now( I take a long time to make money decisions!). It will replace my audiobahn a3201t running at 840 rms @4 ohms. Actually a very good amp, it pushed my 4 sealed mtx thunder 5500 10's to 140.7. I'll be moving th AB to my front stage, and freeing up my 6 channel for other duties .

why cant i start a thread in the competition section? my friend owns a shop in beloit and i told him id put the word out that theres gonna be a usaci event there so id like to start a thread in the comp section but i cant for some reason... does it have to do with me being new or something?

Brand new on the forum here. Been lurking a bit since I ordered my DCON and decided to become official. I'm not totally new to the car audio world having had several set ups in the past, but not an expert by any means. Took a several year hiatus and getting interested again. Current ride is a 2003 Audi a4 avant. Ordered a 10" DCON a few weeks ago and getting excited to receive it. The sub will be getting 3 different boxes, starting with an ideal sealed MDF enclosure, then a close to ideal ported MDF enclosure. Hey everyone. I'm new to this forum. Found it while surfing on Fi's website. Just purchased two 12" SSD's and I am stoked to get them. The first system I had was definitely a newb setup but it worked out for the six months that I had it. I had 2 12" RF P1's, a Profile 1000w amp, and a pioneer deck - cant remember what model off hand. The box was a sealed box that had a space in the middle for the amp to sit and had a neon light above it that turned on when I opened the trunk. Anyways, can't wait to get started on my new system and looking forward to being a part of this forum.

Finally singing in, after watching the forums for a while! Not a total audio whiz, so I hope to learn some and maybe even share some during my stay! As far as where I'm at with audio, I'm between subwoofers at the moment, I fried my RE SXX d2 15" a couple of months ago (I knew it would happen eventually) because A: it was on a RF T1500BDCP, and B: I wanted to push it way lower than box-tuning (damn you Decaf!!!). Having a prefab box (3.5 cubes at "36hz"), even if it was a nicer one, didn't really help either... I tried to build a small low power system in my Dodge Ram ( 2 twelves on a Memphis 1000D). but I can't take it any more. I NEED BASS IN MY LIFE! Looking to start a new sound system build. Wondering if 2 Fi btls can run a 4000-5000 watt amp for each sub ? I previously had 2 Alpine type x's which i loved.
