why cant i start a thread in the competition section? my friend owns a shop in beloit and i told him id put the word out that theres gonna be a usaci event there so id like to start a thread in the comp section but i cant for some reason... does it have to do with me being new or something?

I'm Scott, out of Atlanta Georgia. I'm a up and coming/learning installer. Currently at Fry's Electronics. I've been learning on my own, making every mistake in the books since I was 15 and my buddy got his first car. I'm now only 19, and 3 months into being a working installer. So far worked on some really cool cars, done some pretty cool installs. Just a few pics of my favorite installs so far. I'm more of an SQ guy but I'm getting into SPL. Something about seeing metal flex like rubber puts a smile on my face. I look forward to learning a lot here, I can tell there is already a lot for me to read through and that this is an exceptionally knowledgeable forum!

Found this forum from the sundown website. I have a new system going in my titan with CDT ES Gold 3way front stage and a Sundown amp powering it for now. Undecided on subs at this point but much more for SQ than SPL. Looking forward to getting it all together. This is a 04 Nissan Titan King Cab.

What's going on. Came across this site and it seems real chill. Been out of car audio for a little while now. Trying to get any type of suggestions for sub, components, and mids/highs amp. I already have a Diamond Audio D5 1200.1, and really only want one sub. Not trying to blow everyone away, more into the SQ aspect, but every once in a while will turn it up and pound. Thanks and hope to enjoy this site.

hey guys just got onto this forum and just bought one Fi btl 12 dual 2... what would be the best amp for this sub. and when it says 2krms does that mean thats as hight as i can go with rms or can i go higher...please explain to me how high can i push this bad boy

Names Blake and just joined today. Hope to learn a few things here and there while at the same time helping others out. Just ordered a FI BTL 15" and a Hifonics Brutus BXI2008D to give it the juice and bought a prefab box just as temporary enclosure until i can order the other BTL and Brutus amp to make a custom box. Looking to start a new sound system build. Wondering if 2 Fi btls can run a 4000-5000 watt amp for each sub ? I previously had 2 Alpine type x's which i loved.

hey im woody. im from a small town in arkansas. ive had a couple Blaupunkt 10s for about 2 years and finally decided to upgrade. Ive got a mach5 audio 18" in a sealed box. its the loudest around here, most kids around here have barely heard of an 18" much less seen one so i thought id show everybody round here what one looked like. thats about it.

desgining an infinite baffle home system with 2 Fi 18IB's 2500W amp

Well hello im matthew and im new too this forum and not new to car audio. First of all im working on getting a car then il work on either a 15 inch subwoofer or an 18 or just cheap 3 or 4 15's if i feel crazy enough. i currently own a 9500 mtx 15 inch subwoofer super loud very violent but thats only off a simple 4 channel amp that is a classic puts out power and its all power from four power supplys. Also trying to get a monoblock or class D amplifier to power my mtx for temp till i get something better and im looking at buying one or two Incriminator or fi or DC subs cant make up my mind and its very difficult!
