Getting back into car audio after a lengthy absence. The only thing I remember about my last stereo (15+ years ago) was the MB Quart components. well guys im from KY i have 1 18'' FI BL daily loaded with a sundown audio 1500 on it in a 5.5 cube box tuned to 34hz .. it hits a meca certified 145.1 at the headrest. i have a 3 way JL audio component setup and polks in the back doors run on a sundown audio 100.4 .

Hello everyone. I am jonblack and I live in Louisiana. I last worked as a car stereo and alarm installer over 15 years ago. Needless to say that most everything has changed since then. I recently bought a 1997 Honda Odyssey van. SInce I have plenty of space I thought I would build a very small system, something I have not had in years. In doing research on Alpine Type R subs, I cam across a lot of info on SSA DCON subs. After looking around several forums I have decided to go with a SSA DCON sub. See you around the forum jonblack

Ive been in audio for longer than I care to admit. I recently decide to upgrade starting with a ssa Icon 12 d2. I currently have an older hifonics bx1500 running it but I dont like that amp much. its sloppy and doesnt put out much power. I used to run rockfords and lower powered subs, back in the day when a 700watt amp was big power. Anyway I am looking for recommendations on a good amp to pair with this sub, but of course wont break the bank in the process. 1500w to 2000w is what Im thinking for power. This sub is replacing a 12" infinity perfect if that tells you how long its been since I seriously researched my purchases. the dyno tests are nice but they tell…

HI everyone I'm Kyle. I'm new to the forum and right now I'm currnetly running 1 spl15 with 1ohmdvc on a Alphasonic PMA600HCA. I haven't had time to get it on the meter yet but I might swap to new subs and go back to 12s to better fit my listening style. What would be better the RE audio subs or the FI audio? I want something that can take all the power my amp can give them. It pushes 1800rms at 1ohm.

well, i signed back up after the crash and i figured id share my progress here. i have a 15" fully loaded BTL in a 4 cubes @ 34 hz box, ma audio hk4000d modded to .7 ohms, type x componants, ma audio hk398. the box is finished and carpeted and now im going to start on the false floor, install the second batt, upgrade the wiring, and tune it up. im going to be getting an alternator within the next month.

Hello all I have been a lurker around a few forums for a long time and not new to car audio, but i recently got a new car (2001 audi a4) and want to take it to the next level.
