Getting back into car audio after a lengthy absence. The only thing I remember about my last stereo (15+ years ago) was the MB Quart components. I've since become a computer nerd, but I think I still have the chops to put together a modest system for my 2002 Toyota 4Runner. P.S. Oh yeah, and saying hi from Westminster, MD.

I've been into audio for quite a long time, I've always loved bass, until about 2 years ago I didnt know there were competitions, I thought I knew it all. but boy, I couldnt have been more wrong. well i am new to ssa... coming from roe... i went to a comp in tuscon where i met ssaudio... and he told me to check out the form so here i am.... my current setup 1 15cvr.. 4.5cubes tunned to 32hrz audiobahn 8000t .. got it for 45 bucks lol cant complain.. stockdeck and comps for now 131.6db tl 06 malibu ltz futer setup.. 2 ssa 12s tunned to 32 kicker zx2500 big three extra batt new comps off amp not sure what yet oh an im sixteen for any one who cares...

I am looking for a suitable replacement of 4 Boston Acoustics Pro series 10.4LF. Normally when a customer is looking for sq I just direct them to Boston Acoustics 3 series subs because I've got the hook-up and can make a little on the deal. But with the car audio division of Boston I would rather start using something else. I currently have a customer that owns 4 10" B/A's And even though 2 of them need to be re-coned, he still thinks that it's the best way to go. I am trying to steer him toward something newer, but am not going to be left looking like an ass if it don't perform as good or better. Anybody know the t/s specs for the sx recone from fi audio? I just got an sx 18 with a fi recone that has the int. leads and the extra spider with the 1.4 ohm coils and I wanted to recone my sx 18 with the same set up so I can have matching woofers but I wanted to know if the 1.4 ohm coils will work with my motor so I can go ahead and order a recone but I can't get a response from anyone at fi. So help would be greatly appreciated... Thank You

Ok, New to the site do hello everyone. I am currently deployed and have a question. I have a standard cab Chevy Colorado, during my first deployment i had a kicker ZX700.5 installed and it ran my to kicker L5 10'' and my Alpine Type X components. Not sure how loud it was but i enjoyed them to the fullest for the past 4 years. Well i am deployed yet again and got bored, so i decided a up grade was needed. Here is my questions...how well of a up grade did i do? I now have 2 Kicker L7 10" in the same box, and a ZX1500.1. That was easy simply becouse the box had the old amp counter sunk in it..the 1500.1 was the same size. And i swaped the Type X components to the kic…

what's happenin guys? i'm looking into doing an install soon for a couple 10" Fi SSD's. I have a single cab 2005 Tacoma. i'm trying to figure out what to do about a box, i'm limited with space and haven't built a box of my own yet. i'll also be looking for a good amp to power them. and any other info for that matter. any suggestions?
