Hey everyone, I'm new here, but been in car audio for while. Figured I'd come over here and do a bit of research. I'm lookin for a new sub stage, and being that this is the official Fi forum, it seems I came to the right place to read up and learn. Right now my system is pretty much complete minus the sub Pioneer 880PRS Next Audio VRz4.400 Peerless HDS Nomex 7" mids LPG 26na Linear Power 2.2hv Right now, I'll hopefully be able to get an 05 xxx 15 from Shawn if all works out, or my other choice is the Fi Q 12". I'm looking for strictly sound quality before anything, either will be run off my 2.2HV which is anywhere from 1k to 1.5k watts of clean power. I'm just hoping…

Hi all. I am looking to replace the stock sub in my Lexus GS 430 w/ Mark Levinson system. (to start) I will be replacing the front door speakers and dash tweeters with components later (probably Focal 6.5 K2s), The rear deck fill speakers will remain stock (if they sound OK after the upgrades elsewhere) Fist I would like to start with the subwoofer. I have a JBL 300W mono amp to power the sub I will be adding. Will the SD10 work as in IB sub? The stock sub I am looking to replace is a 10" mounted in the center of the rear deck. Hey guys whats going on? Im new here but not to forums at all LOL.. I have an 18" Avalanche that i bought about 1.5 yrs ago. Was wondering how much it would cost to get it reconed. Had it in a 13cu.ft box tuned to 30hz with 1200RMS and i loved it, but i assume it took all it could and is now making a scratching sound when i turn it up.

Hello all! ive been watching the fourums and learning from all the great info. I have allways had some sort of beats in my trunk for as long as I have been able to drive (going as far as shoving my old house speakers in the trunk of my moms car when i borrowed it) and have allways just "thrown" whatever equipment i could find in the trunk for some bass (was hooked on Bass after i heard Too $hort-Cusswords and some Nemisis-Munchies for my Bass on my friends system back in the days!!!), never considered the all so many things that go into a system, box size/type, amp, electrical and wire...its amazing to think back on the damage if done to some equipment Ive owned in the pa…

Anybody know the t/s specs for the sx recone from fi audio? I just got an sx 18 with a fi recone that has the int. leads and the extra spider with the 1.4 ohm coils and I wanted to recone my sx 18 with the same set up so I can have matching woofers but I wanted to know if the 1.4 ohm coils will work with my motor so I can go ahead and order a recone but I can't get a response from anyone at fi. So help would be greatly appreciated... Thank You

Ive been out of car audio for awhile, probably the last 5 years. My Adire Audio Brahmas surrounding ripped away from the cone last night. The last sub I remember hearing about being compared with the Brahma was the RE XXX so I was interested in finding one of those to try out. Come to find out they arent around the $400 range anymore, but a whopping $1,200!! So I said bump that. But a guy on a different site told me about the founder of RE starting up a new company named Fi Car Audio. well, i signed back up after the crash and i figured id share my progress here. i have a 15" fully loaded BTL in a 4 cubes @ 34 hz box, ma audio hk4000d modded to .7 ohms, type x componants, ma audio hk398. the box is finished and carpeted and now im going to start on the false floor, install the second batt, upgrade the wiring, and tune it up. im going to be getting an alternator within the next month.

Hello all....I'm a new guy from Tahlequah, Oklahoma. There seems to be quite a few of ya from Texas, so I'll add I'm formally from Bonham, Tx between Sherman and Paris if ya dont know. I have a Chevy Silverado with a boss hu(birthday gift), RF Fanatic P 4" components, Kicker CVR, with a Bazooka BA1500 and a cheap 2 channel amp for the components. Looking to redo everything one piece at a time. Working at Wal-mart doesnt exactly give me an abundant amount of money to spend. Anyways, I'll be posting some questions and look forward to share my somewhat knowledge where it permits. Jess
