Hello everybody, Just making an introduction post here on the ssa forum. First a little background about myself, I am 23 and have been in the car audio world since I was 16. I am an F-16 electrical/environmental systems specialist for the air national guard and write electrical repair manuals for John Deere and hitachi excavators. I first found out about ssa woofers on the smd forum. After doing some research, I decided to purchase some of the zcon series woofers for my newest truck rebuild. My father owned and operated a local car audio store in my area for over 15 years so I lived my teenage years working in car audio which was great now looking for some subs with a little education behind it. I am building a system and starting off slow. My first purchase as far as amps and subs will be a SAZ-3000 and a Dual 2ohm BTL18. It will be wired at 1ohm for the 3000 rms. I would like to expand on this later with another SAZ-3000 and BLT18 for a combined 6000 rms. I have never strapped 2 amps before and I'm trying to make sure I buy the correct sub to start off with. I understand the impedance for a single amp system but I'm confused as to how it works when you start strapping amps together. What would my impedance be with the two amps strapped and two Dual 2ohm subs? I'm looking for a final 2 ohms since this is what the strapped amps are rated at. This has probably be…

Hello all, From new york here. Everyone told me fi was better then memphis but i have some questions to be answered. i guess i could ask them here seeming this is my first post... right? Okay, So i have a 2001 jetta, i dont know how big my trunk is and i suck at math. I was orignally going to get 2 12's btl but everyone told me that i would neeed to upgrade my alternator and the big 3. is this true? so my other option was to go with the 2 12's BL, but i dont know if i would still need to upgrade anything electrical. but either way, i would perfer to get the btl but dont have enough money to get a new alternator and the big 3 okay, now either way if i were to go with the b…

hey new here, I just finished the install on my single cab truck. I'm running two 10" Fi Q's in a ported box tuned to 36hrz and a Hifonics BXI 2006D amp. My head unit is a Pioneer AVH D4000 DVD. I think it turned out alright. I'm looking at components right now probably Premier or Focal with Fosgate amp. I'll get some pics up for you guys shortly. Ryan

Hi guys!! Searching in the internet I found this website. I'm a bass junkie and when I saw the brands that you promote it take my attention because where I live they only know Stetsom and Sundown.
