Newbie Sign IN

After about 10 years of being out of the hobby and listening to subpar factory systems, I've decided to jump back in. I sold almost all my equipment I've had from the mid 90's, but I've started purchasing some odds and ends (JBL 600.1, Arc fd2100, Kenwood 722) in attempt to start back out. This is for one of my 99 Eclipses, in hopes of having a nice sounding DD. I'm pretty heavy into Home Audio/Theater, so riding is my daily for my 30 min trip to work is a serious drag. I look forward to the help and criticism in the future in the goal of having a SQ setup.

Hello everyone. I am jonblack and I live in Louisiana. I last worked as a car stereo and alarm installer over 15 years ago. Needless to say that most everything has changed since then. I recently bought a 1997 Honda Odyssey van. SInce I have plenty of space I thought I would build a very small system, something I have not had in years. In doing research on Alpine Type R subs, I cam across a lot of info on SSA DCON subs. After looking around several forums I have decided to go with a SSA DCON sub. See you around the forum jonblack

Hey guys. I just found this forum last night as my girl was bugging me to come to bed so now shes gone and I can browse uninterrupted haha. I've been a member here for awhile, but I had not visited or posted very often. That will be changing. I am new to this site but not new to car audio. I got my first system before i got my first car.

I am Binil from Kerala, India.. Audio isn't my primary field - its more of a hobby.

My Skar vvx 10 came in Thursday. I installed it in a 1.25 ported box tuned to 30 hz. It sounds great. Much better than the e5.19 I had. It couldn't handle the JL Audio 500 I use. The Skar lets me bring the amp up to the point that it puts out its max power before clipping. I was running it a quarter turn less to keep from blowing the e5.10 I'll break it in & see how it sounds.

Getting back into the car audio things after about 5 years off and figured this would be a good place to start. Hi from West Palm Beach, FL. I'm new to SSA forums. I was this site at Steve Meade Designs while I was reading up on Fi Car Audio in his forums. I haven't had a system in a while and I'm starting to get that itch to build one so I've been doing a lot of reading. My how things have changed. I have already asked some questions and I have received some very good feedback from the users here. I have lots to learn and this seems like the perfect place for me to do that. Hello all, From new york here. Everyone told me fi was better then memphis but i have some questions to be answered. i guess i could ask them here seeming this is my first post... right? Okay, So i have a 2001 jetta, i dont know how big my trunk is and i suck at math. I was orignally going to get 2 12's btl but everyone told me that i would neeed to upgrade my alternator and the big 3. is this true? so my other option was to go with the 2 12's BL, but i dont know if i would still need to upgrade anything electrical. but either way, i would perfer to get the btl but dont have enough money to get a new alternator and the big 3 okay, now either way if i were to go with the b…

I was thinking about getting 2 BTL 15's, i already have 2 2400 kinetiks, 2 h/o alts, and 2 ma audio 4000D's. I want to know do u think that would be a good set up, should i change the amps or what. Also which would would be better between the 15's and 18's, and how should i get them loaded for daily use.
