Hey guys, just here paying my dues in the newbie forum. I'd describe myself as more of a music lover than a basshead. Give me good clean sound quality any day of the week. That being said, I'm not quite an audiophile either, mostly due to budget and a light wallet. My system is, by today's standards, "old school". 1996 Honda Accord Sedan Alpine CDA-9830 AudioControl Three.1 MTX Thunder 4320 Infinity Kappa 5.25" Comp Set in Q-Forms "pods" Infinity Kappa 6.5" Mids in the front doors MTX Thunder 2300 3 JL Audio 10w6's Most of the gear was purchased in the mid to late 90's but still sounds fantastic. What brought me here? I went to college with Nick from Stereo Integrity.…

Hello fellow bassheads. I'm new and wanted to show off my system. It's not complete yet I was just dying to hear it. My build consists of Xs power d3100 under the hood, xs power d375 behind seat, all 0 gauge wires and big 3, kilmat (the thicker stuff), 2 12" SSA icons in 4.1 cu ft box, aeroport tuned to 32hz, 2 soundqubed U1-1500 amps (one to each sub). Nvx Loc tapped into rear door speakers. Audio control epicenter (for my Hank Williams and old country music). Sounds great in my F150.

Hello, i found your web site while looking for some info on Fi subs and found more than I ever wanted. But anyway I have been into car audio since before I could drive and I seems that this addiction will not go away anytime soon, its going on 8 years now since I first intalled a pair of tens in my firebird. haha But I am accually about to take my exam for my MECP cert. and plan on working the rest of my way through college doing this or may be turning this into a career. I have enjoyed reading some of the posted topics and have learned a lot from you guys already.

Hey guys, I'm brand new to the car audio world and am looking for a system that can pound as a daily driver. I've already decided to run 2 15" N2 BTL's but am unsure on what to power them and what alt/batts to back them up. I've read a lot of forums and the DC 3.5k amp looks good plus its 15% as a presale. I was thinking of having a 320a DC power alt with an XS D975 up front and a D3100 in back, all wired 1/0 with big three. Will my system run well? and if not, what can i do to make sure i supply enough power to amp and that the amp is a good fit? BTW, budget is in $2500-$3k range Any tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Still posting her as I am a Noob. I mentioned in another post, I have some OZ ME380CS component speakers that I am looking to install in my summer cruiser. I recently cam across a Punch 600a5 for a reasonable price so I scooped it up. I thought about doing a sub on the single channel. I guess I'm wondering what the opinions are on the use of 5 channel amps vs. 4ch and a mono? If the 5ch would be a good option, what would be the best setup considering it the components are crossovers, mid range and mid bass both 4ohm and 6ohm tweeter? The amp specs are: 50x4+100x1@ 4ohms 100x4+100x1@ 2 ohms Comps are rated between 75-125 watts rms Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone. I was browsing this forum and it looks like the people here are more mature than other forums.......you know which one... anyways, I have a sundown saz1500d v1 and an american bass VFL extreme 15" All stock wiring and stock battery and I have 4awg about 4 feet to the battery which is located in the trunk. The sub slams pretty hard, but I notice a wierd burning rubber smell when I play it loud (not normal car rubber. It's more toxic, if that makes sense. A guy from CL said that I'm probably clipping the sub since I have all stock wiring. Would a second battery do the trick? Any help appreciated. Car is a 2010 HHR LT

Just wanted to say "Howdy Folks" At the Ripe Old Age of 45 I'm just getting back into the world of modern day audio. After the required "Lurking Stage" I have found this board to be a wealth of information combined with friendliest members. Now that I'm done sucking up........
