Finally had some time to mess with the software and the lack of function the previous version had. Sorry for the delays.

Meaning, collapse the brand / vendor forum sections and clean up the main front page of the SSA forums? Asking, as many have not had a single post in a few years.

Pruned all new members since 7/15, renewed our IBP license which should activate Spam prevention again, and deleted most of the spam topics I saw, should be a clean forum again. Enjoy.

There will be some downtime with all SSA owned domain names @ 8pm while we change the DNS on our domain names over to our new server. We are down grading our server to a VPS opposed to a dedicated server. As our store hasn't been hosted on our server in years, and the forum traffic is slowly dying down, the dedicated server is no longer needed. Thanks for your patience and understanding...

Very sorry for the delay guys, we had a php version issue with our host and our dedicated server, got it all sorted out, I'm going to get this forum whipped back into shape. Thanks for baring with me on this. Enjoy the forums...

I have noticed, as well as a few people have messaged me about it, abuse of the rep system. It is just a simple forum feature for people to have a little reaction to a singular post based on the content of that post, be it positive if it is a beneficial post or if you really like the content, or negative if it is detrimental or you really don't like the content. Not something to have a personal vendetta against another user to down vote every post of theirs. Personally, I feel it is ok to have both the positive and negative if the system is not going to abused. But, if it is going to continue to be abused, I will turn off the negative option and we can move to be…

Denim and I have been thinking about ways to get more traffic back to the forum, and have a few ideas about contests, like a classifieds contest, were we would pick a random user every month for a prize, but I am sure you guys have some great ideas for contests.... lets come up with a great idea, and get this place back on top of the forum game, once again...

After down time almost weekly as of late from our existing host who we've been with for years and years, in fact, I can't remember how long it's been so long, we have finally given up on them and changed to a new host. Our new dedicated box has 4 times the RAM, and twice the processor, also an SSD hard drive, so site load time and performance should be very notifiable. The move is all done, and SSA is now on the new dedicated server. The other forums are also, but I have to work out some php handler issues before they will be working properly. The forum just got a major software upgrade, you should find it's running faster, smoother etc... I have not updated the current skins or anything, so you will see alot of visual bugs until that is complete. Please bare with us during this time.

Over the past few months our current dedicated server seemed to be more and more stressed. As an combined effort of our host, Aaron & I, we have moved over to a brand spanking new Intel Quad-Core server with much better hardware. After the 24 hr period for the nameservers to propagate, you should find the site and all of our other sites to be noticeably faster in page load times. If you do notice a page not working, or something working a bit funny, please do not report this until after Tuesday Night around 6pm EST, thank you for your input.
