There are no vacuum leaks and the timing is good...I pull code p0102 (maf sensor) and sometimes a p0305 (cyl 5 miss). The truck stumbles from idle to about 1k rpm when in neutral or park. I tried cleaning the maf and disconnecting it, either way it ran no different. The plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and coil are all new. Any more pointers from anyone, could a bad maf cause a miss?

I was in a bar fight a few weeks ago and I got my VW Passat key cracked pretty bad. The key ring also got taken off when it slammed into the ground. Is there anybody out there that would sell the casing for the key? I know the dealers want something like 400$ for a new key. All the mechanical stuff still works and nothing is really bent, just the plastic outside is cracked. I have taken this key apart several times before and after to know enough that the plastic casing is just a case, nothing in it is permanent. I have googled with no luck though. Any help is appreciated.

I can't believe the get together has come and gone. It was a good meet with familiar faces and a few new faces. Thanks to Big Jon and the team at the Happy Cow Bar and Grill for their efforts in making this meet possible. Metering and full tilt demos were cut short this year, but that didn't stop us from hanging out and talking car stereos. Enough of my rambling, now some pics. Jake was one of the few to get to meter on BigJon's TL. The Happy Cow Bar and Grill allowed us to setup a lane next to their covered patio. This made for a great meet in the shade. Many thanks. Here's another angle of the people enjoying that nice patio. This is Jake's setup. Two Fi BLs off o…

I have a 2013 chrysler 300 awd v6, and I am insanely picky with rims. I pretty much hate them all to be honest but I have finally found the one and the only rim for me. I want the velocity vm12 22s. Which have all the right specifications except being an offset of 30mm. The recommended offset for my car is between 34-42. Do you guys think I can get away with that 4mm? Maybe not with regular sized tires but with low pros? I do not know much about rims honestly but looking at the car there is a solid 3-4in around the front tire to the fender. speaking of which I know nothing about tires either, what size low pro would work with these rims and my car? Also can't a machine sh…

A woman pregnant with triplets is walking down the street when a masked robber runs out the bank and shoots her three times in the stomach. Luckily the babies are okay. The surgeon decides to leave the bullets in because it's too risky to operate. All is fine for 16 years, and then one daughter walks into the room in tears. "What's wrong?" asks the mother. "I was having a pee and this bullet came out" replies the daughter. The mother tells her it's okay and explains what happened 16 years ago. About a week later the second daughter walks in to the room in tears. "Mom, I was having a pee and this bullet came out". Again the mother tells her not to worry and explains wha…

There were these 3 midget brothers. They have lived a rough life, but always took pride in knowing that one of them had the smallest hands, one of them had the smallest feet, and one of them had the smallest pecker. They decide to try to get themselves in the Guiness Book of World Records. When they get to the office to show off their hands, feet and pecker, the president of the GBofWR calls them in one at a time... The first midget goes in and comes back out about 10 minutes later. His smiles tells the whole story. He tells his brothers that after some measuring, it was official, he would now be the world record holder for smallest hands. The second midget goes in and co…

So my L7 Sub box got a little water damage in my shop so it was time for demolition. First I took all of the screws out (didn't want them in my yard) I replaced the original cut out for the sub braced it up and drilled a hole for the sparkler bomb as the "Driver". Hey guys my dad is in the market for a 4wheeler and asked me to ask my friends what are some good brands. He has about a 4500 budget no more. Needs to be 4wd, auto or manual doesn't matter. Used is fine, and it needs to be more for mudding and riding trials not really trying to set the new land speed record (a.k.a raptors )

Just wanted to share these with everyone. My little brother slid on the snow and ice Friday night and hit a curb. Instead of calling me he let the cops call a tow truck and tow it to their garage which wasn't open over the weekend and the car had to sit inside, so he was bummed. Now, for the good part. He has a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix, a very nice car. He told me when I picked him up Friday that he was only going 5, maybe 10 MPH when he slid into the curb and damaged the car. I'd like your opinions on the speed he was likely going, lol. Sorry for the pic quality, phone camera FTL. Busted the steering knuckle in two, bent the control arm, ripped the CV jo…

We, SSA as a whole, just pased the 500,000 post mark in the last 12 hours. Something to be said as it is not all spam or BS much like most forums who fly past the 500k mark in a year. It took SSA just shy of 6 years of largely quality posting and membership. But maybe we can reach the 1mil mark in 1/2 that with the growing member base.

Not mine, but a friends. We just put the 3" lift on with 33's. Practical for daily driving, while still being able to do the off roading here. Flowmaster exhaust is perhaps the loudest/best sounding I've ever heard on the 88-98 style trucks. Only two pics for now. Full picture session after we get the toggle switch for the neons up and running as well as a nice off roading session. Oh yeah, and the simple Pioneer ... - Steve
