My wife and I are looking at getting a couple of smartphones. I've never really done any research on them, so I'm looking for some advice on good phones and service providers. I don't need anything fancy in a phone. Basically something that I can use for phone calls and internet. A few things that would be nice are GPS and a camera, but they aren't a necessity. Anything specific I should be looking for or looking to avoid in a phone or phone plan?

i had google earth for some time and i remember where it would show street views in front of a house... I upgraded to google earth pro several months ago and there are NO street views anywhere?!?! Anyone else notice this... the free version has more info than the pro version?

Well either tonight or tomorrow morning I am leaving for 2 months to go on a road trip across the US. Its all going to start at Bonnaroo in Tennesse this weekend. Other stops include, in order pretty much: Key West New Orleans- where I am going to stay for approx 5 days New Mexico- to the White Sands national monument Arizona- to the Grand Canyon where ill hike for a few days Vegas- Got a Suite at the Belliagio(sp?) for a night Montana- Glacier National Park Colorado- Vail to stay with my old man for a week Ohio- Ceader Point to rock out on some dope coasters, Then Rock N roll hall of fame Back to NY Im sure ill be adding stops along the way. But this is my general path…

You guys are gonna love this! I got this new microscope so i can do very fine and precise electronic repair. 3-4x magnifiers are pathetic for the work i'm talking about. I'm about to upload some pics for you guys so u can see what i'm talkin about.. So I buy all this stuff and bam, got laid off. Oh well, free time to BUILD !!!! As bad as it feels to have your job eliminated after being at the same place for 12 years, maybe its time for a change. I got a decent severance package (I'm paid until 9/30/09) WOO HOO. I'm going to fix some things around the house and try to get my chit installed/built into the car. As long as I get a job within the next month, I'll be real happy, because then I'll pretty much have a $32k check to deposit in the bank of extra cash, that would be sweet (wife says new kitchen). My friend told me about a '70 Chevy C10 pickup that a buddy of his was selling for $500, so I figured while I had a little extra money I'd pick it up and have something to play with It's got an Olds 455 big block motor in it, rebuilt Holley 600 carb, new water pump, new distributor/wiring, new fan. She's not very pretty to look at right now but that'll change once I get it running well... Finally got the new whip. 1994 Camaro z28 lt1 auto first plan is to pull the LT1 and swap it into my dads truck and swap his 4.3 v6 into it. reasoning behind this is i got the car for 1500 bucks. hes giving me a grand for the engine and trans out of car. breakdown sold my truck for 2500 price of car 1500 sell drivetrain 1000 that leaves me 2000, 500 of that will regain access to my shop and pay some bills. the other 1500 is buying the LS1 long block with forged bottom end im getting locally. LS1 should go in after SBN system plans are 2 Nightshade 15's on 2 sundown 3000d's on 16v. System depends on how my new job goes.

I got my diploma today. Great day filled with family and many friends I'll never get to see again. Now i am going to be in Chicago as of august. I am going to attend UTI. (Universal Technical Institute) That should be some fun. haha.
