Well, i just got power back after 2 days of no power from the winds of Ike. One of my pc's PSUs is fried. Another one of my pcs is having random so called software crashed. A 5.1 amp in my room is completely fried. My KVM switch is damaged. My 51" TV is completely fried. One of my surge protectors is fried. Everything that got damaged was on protectors?!?! This just goes to show you that protectors are somewhat worthless. My ps2 was wired directly into the all and it's fine... go figure. So far, repair costs are about $800-1300.

I thought I'd post this here, since I've noticed that there's quite a few people from both places. My wife and I have been thinking a lot about our future. We currently live in a small town in Kansas. The largest cities are more than 30 minutes away (both of us drive about 45 minutes to work). Well, sorta. My friend told me about a '70 Chevy C10 pickup that a buddy of his was selling for $500, so I figured while I had a little extra money I'd pick it up and have something to play with It's got an Olds 455 big block motor in it, rebuilt Holley 600 carb, new water pump, new distributor/wiring, new fan. so ya at like 0 dark 30 on my way to drill this morning i was going down the road when i seen a deer run along the road parallel to me so i slowed down a bit to hopefully see it run the opposite direction. well it looked like it was just gonna run along the road but INSTEAD!!!!!!!!!!!! i sped up to pass it and as soon as my headlights passed him goin like 55 it took a 90 degree turn straight into the side of my truck. Ok, i've got some things to say about the SSA Chat that nobody ever goes in... We need to make up a designated time of the day for a certain day of the week unless everyday of the week is fine where we try to flood the chat room so we can get more members here. Aight my canadian breatheren. Seems as though I get to spend couple of weeks at a certain facility in Valcourt Quebec. I'll be heading up there the last two weeks in February. Got a couple of questions for the experts as this is my first trip to the great white north 1. What is there to do in the area ? I will be taking a couple seminars during the day.
