We, SSA as a whole, just pased the 500,000 post mark in the last 12 hours. Something to be said as it is not all spam or BS much like most forums who fly past the 500k mark in a year. It took SSA just shy of 6 years of largely quality posting and membership. But maybe we can reach the 1mil mark in 1/2 that with the growing member base.

What would be the best thing to get for a fake car alarm? I think something with a flashing led with maybe a battery i could charge while driving around or something like that would be best, but what should i get?

Are there any other electronic repair or computer techs out there that repair pc electronics? I have a 19" proview 900P in front of me that goes blank every 3 seconds once turned on and stays blank for several minutes, then comes back on by itself for 3 seconds and cycle continues. I took it apart and all solder joints like fine and all caps look fine... Only other thing i could think of is the lamp.... but i dont know how to get to it. It shouldnt be the lamp anyways since most are rated for like 7 yrs and this was made in 2005. I can take pics of the boards if anyone needs to see them.

i just did a bandwidth test on my computer and it came out to be 5.7 mbps. download. and then i started thinking about what other people speed is. and what kind of connection? mines dsl.

You guys are gonna love this! I got this new microscope so i can do very fine and precise electronic repair. 3-4x magnifiers are pathetic for the work i'm talking about. I'm about to upload some pics for you guys so u can see what i'm talkin about.. I'll post specs about the distance and magnification strength by each pic showing how awesome of a scope this baby is... i had google earth for some time and i remember where it would show street views in front of a house... I upgraded to google earth pro several months ago and there are NO street views anywhere?!?! Anyone else notice this... the free version has more info than the pro version?

Haha So Im In School In The Computer Lab In 10th Grade By The Way Anyway Were Suppose To Be Typing A Engllish Paper. So Its Really Quiet And Im Sure Many Of You Have Heard Of The Program Audacity. Well I Opened It Up And Put In 18,000 Hz. The Teacher Did Not Hear The Tone But What Was Wierd Was All The Girls In The Classroom Heard It. It Was Fckn Funny. They Were All Like Owww!! My younger brother and his wife finally had there lil' girl earlier this afternoon. A long 48 hour delivery, two weeks early and ended up being a C-section. Both are doing well and resting comfortably in Ft. Lewis, Washington. No pictures as of yet.

Okay, some of you may or may not know, ive been with the same girl since 8th grade ... which is around 5 - 6 years. Well, we were looking at moving out before i lost my job at the cabinet shop. Well, my income being cut by 2/3rds eliminated that for me. Well, she is still stuck on it, and she REALLY cant afford it. But everytime i try to prove a point to her she thinks im putting her down. she makes $800 - 900 at the most per month and the place she is looking at is $400 a month. she has a car payment of $300 a month, and a cell phone bill of $100 a month.
